I see that there'll be a few new 2 bbl drivers this year at SFS. For the sake of others I hope the Buntin's remember that sprint cars don't have fenders!!!!

Wow they don't have fenders!!!! How will they ever be able to drive them. However, as I recall Modifieds also don't have fenders and they did just fine in those.

Joey, don't worry about it. There are some drivers who have been been out there for years who STILL can't get it right.

I'm glad to see Dusty make the move to Sprints. I've known him since he was a baby. He's a good kid and a Racer at heart. Although Full Body cars and Sprint cars have a totally different feel I don't think it will take the boy any time to figure it out.

Settle down Mom, and watch the boy prove the nay sayers wrong.

Good Luck Joey, if you need any help, don't hesitate to ask.

maybe i was a little hasty im sorry but that was a low blow in my opinion, after we drive these fenderless racecars i hope that he will reevaluate and not come to conclusions before the season has even started

Just be patent, it will come to you. Don't expect to win the feature on your first, second, or even your fifth attempt. But I would put money on you winning a Feature in your Rookie season driving a Sprinter.

You'll be alright man. Don't get discouraged if you don't do good the first half of the year. I've been racing for a while and I still suck! I'm sure you know all of this so I'll just shut up. Just make sure you do your own thing and have fun with it.

ps: Smith racer is the one that said I was on drugs a while back, so don't listen to anything he/she says.

as a friend and a fellow racer , you gotta give credit where credit is due . The Buntins have established themselves as pretty respectable racers , I would run door to door with them anytime , as a matter of fact some of my most memoriable races were 15 or 20 laps door to door with dusty yah we rubbed a little but dang it was for the win !!!!

I wish them well in the sprint cars , kudo's for movin up , I made a transition this year I am hopeing I can do well ......

good luck to all in 08

winners dont cry when they lose , they go back to the
drawing board and come back for round 2 !

man I respect anyone who has the balls to make that transition from stocks to sprints. some sprint drivers may not like it - although I usually see that it is the more aggressive drivers who don't like it - b/c they don't get the response they want when they bury that right rear into the left side of the other goin in turn 1. but the hell with them. Just as with Terry Holland - at least he got out there and tried - and maybe it didn;t work out the best and it probably hurt his bank account sorely - but at least he tried. it always pissed me off when people would say Holland shoulda stayed in stock cars. I thought it was cool he didn't choose to stay and win in pro stocks and instead chose a new challenge in sprints. same with ya'll man - you're tryin somethin new - chose a new tough challenge instead of doin what some of the other stock car guys do. many of them NEED to move up but guess aren't up to the challenge? So more power to ya'll and the rest of the rookies that will run sprints this year. with a little patience and seat time - it will all work out well. but even more so rock on for choosing an extremely tough new challenge instead of staying aboard the sinking ship known as the Factory Stocks.

racing needs more like ya'll - more rookies in general. everybody has to start somewhere. Ever since I can remember (born in 82) - there has been a member of the Buntin family racing @ SFS - but don't recall ever in the sprints. I think before ya'll ever hit the track - you're adding to an already large family history in racing and breaking ground by giving the open wheels a go. Just as a fan from the grandstand - I think it KICKS ASS! Best of luck to ya'll and the rest of the open wheel rookies at OKC this year..............

Yeah I did, but he only made 4 a features and I only missed 5 (something there tells me that the points system should be altered...). The championship is far off my friend, my goal is a top 10 in points this year.

The drug comments came from when I was saying that no one checks fuel and telling how to check it. He/she said that I knew that because of the drugs I have taken or something? It didn't make a lot of sense, like most of his/her other posts.

Chill out for christ's sake. I just wanted to remind them that there are no fenders. And if they want any advice they can watch Decker the Wrecker to learn how not to pass. Hope they can add to the excitement of the great racing action at SFS. Good luck guys. Give em hell!!!!

Your original comment would'a ticked me off too. If I'm Buntin, I might think about puttin a right rear on you anyway. Decker style.

hey, relax, I sponsor a competition cheer team. This past weekend the #1 rank team tried to get under the team skin, by saying things that aren't true. We beat them anyway. And two of our fliers were injuried. So just keep focused and keep to your game plan. It's all part of the game. enjoy.
