Does anyone have any more info or pictures of the midget that raced tonight with the Taurus SHO engine? (or did I hear that wrong?)
I wonder if its any easier to work on outside of the Taurus, because those freakin things are impossible folded up inside two fenders and a bumper!

If we're talking about the same thing, it was a Ford Focus midget... I think the SHO would have too much displacement to be allowed in a midget.

This Kat was at the Sun. practice at Will Rogers Speedway here in Claremore, OK. He was just getting unloaded as we were leaving. I did notice on his trailer he had a "Ford V6 SHO Decal". I thought that was kinda of odd because I thought that would be to much displacement as well. Now that I heard the Racin Boys broadcast and seeing the topic it makes sense. You never know.

There is no CI rule in some midget associations....production V-6 engines are cheaper to race that $40,000 Ed Pink engines.
The SHO is a project Ray Boyles (Kansas City area) started a few years ago trying to find equal power for less money. I have heard the reliability is great and the power is pretty good but the weight is considerably higher.

The SHO engine looks super cool! I didn't get to see or hear it run though. We were walking through the pits and noticed the neat injectors that they made for it.
