What messed up rule do the outlaws have where stopping to avoid a wreck sends you to the tail. Heck the red was probably on also when they stopped.

The exact same "messed up" rule that has been in effect for the entire 31.5 years I've worked for the World of Outlaws:  If you make contact with another car and stop, you're considered "involved" in the accident and go to the back (even if you're "trying" to avoid the accident).
