This whole situation is really a trickle down fallout effect from the Cali Amigos fracturing the sport and these 2 santioning bodies scrambling for venues, some being more questionable than others. It was one of David Gravel's concerns from the outset, and has come true.

Remember the fencing at "The Ditch' in West Memphis a year or two ago?

Yup.  No matter how much everyone is enjoying this, or "how good this is for the sport" it only ends one way....

Were they wide open the whole time?

Yeah, for hotlaps and qualifying. The thing I really remember is during qualifying, standing in T1, all you could hear was the gear drive on the front of the engine screaming.

DG spoke about this on either his own or another podcast early in 2025, before the season began. With 2 national fulltime series fighting for tracks and territory, he said and this is a fairly exact quote, "I just hope we don't have to race at some of these shithole tracks."

Correct.  And when Cody was interviewed about upcoming Belleville, he said I hope everyone comes out alive.  (not verbatum, but in general)  Chances are, everyone comes out alive, but he was trying to make a point.

Sickening how many "fans" are throwing drivers under the bus for voicing their concerns about safety and the lack of an up-to-date catch fence.  How about Beaver Dam's decision to keep racing without a catch fence--until Jason Johnson was killed in 2018?   How about BAPS and their pit road opening?  Wait until Hodnett gets killed and address it?  Sick of waiting for something to happen before taking action.  There is no reason 410 sprint cars should be racing on a track without an acceptable catch fence, and definitely not on a track banked like this one.

Some say, if it scares you to race these places, no one is forcing you, right?  Stay home.   Right.  That's why the guys said, enough, we're not racing there.  I love hearing keyboard warriors throwing drivers under the bus for having no guts.  Hilarious.

Then I guess we should expect to see Belleville on the Hi Limit schedule next year right? I mean you are the teller of truth.
