Was disappointed to see TMACs decision making on Saturday night. I'm seated closer to turn 4 and saw McCarl speeding up. My initial thought was he was pissed about something. I saw Terry pass Scottie and slam on the brakes to cut him off, leaving him zero room. 

Despite what Lori or Terry said on facebook, I did not see or hear Scottie hit the gas after Terry cut him off. He left him zero room and why he flipped.  I know at least one official saw what happened b/c he was pointing at Terry. I'm guessing Terry did not intend for him to flip but that was the unintended results. 

I'm not really a fan of either so I don't really have a "dog in the fight". NOT that I don't like them. 

IMO Terry's reaction caused someone to flip, not during the race, after the race and should be penalized.

I think that he should have been penalized too. Terry being Terry, remember the time he threw the potted plant at a guy in a wheelchair! 

I was in turn 1.  I missed everything but the very end of Scottie coming to a rest and Terry was all the way down at the end of the front straightaway.  We had no replay, so I was oblivous to what happened.  I figured Terry did something though---a fan in the stands ran down the steps and started screaming at Terry's car while he sat there.  Not sure if he heard him, but I thought it was funny.  Guess I missed it all.  This explains it.   

Alright, after seeing more video it looks like Scottie did hit the gas after terry came around him in 4.

While that may be the case (and entirely possible), sprint car racing needs to put an end to pulling this crap after the checkers (and in a B main nonetheless). Someone is going to get hurt. Whether Scotty was on the gas, Terry needs to not act like a toddler, he's sixty years old. 

I didn't see it so I really have no opinion other than Terry is the commen denominator when it comes to this kinda crap. It was different when he was good but now that he's just a back marker its getting mostly sad lol. It's kinda embarrassing actually. 

Terry was one of the best but like all of us Father Time wins in the end. Still a top 10 contender at Knoxville and is good at promoting but still competive in a 360. We see this happen in all forms of sports from baseball football boxing MMA there comes a time before something happens.His sons will carry on his legacy in sprint cars. 

These types of interactions happen on a regular basis at races and tracks Terry is nowhere near.  Until they punish drivers for these actions, they will continue.  BUT-they need to punish all of them for post race contact (or attempted contact), not just when it goes wrong.  The fact that Scottie flipped should have nothing to do with the actions.  Maybe he did speed up.  Wouldn't have mattered if someone wasn't playing games.  It's time for tracks/series to put their foot down on this at some point, but all need to be punished the second it happens.  Schatz just did it to Macedo.  I saw a lot of it during the Nationals.  You drive up to a car post race and make ANY contact with that car, penalty.  DQ'd?  Lose all points/money for that race?  Something.  And the fault should always go to the car initiating contact--which in this case, whether Scottie "sped up" or not, was Terry.  

On the other hand, if that makes us all racing Karens, and you'd rather see them "settle it like men" then let it go no matter what the ending is.  The fact that Scottie flipped should have absolutely nothing to do with how this is handled.  Any of these post race fits could end the same way.  It's all luck and it happens in a split-second. 

The behavior is onbrand. I've seeTerry banned for life from Husets for for bad behavior- twice.

How do you get banned for life TWICE? What is he a cat? Sprint Car racing cannot be a contact sport. Look at this weekend and last night, even unintentional contact can be disastrous not only for the ones making contact but the competitors back through the field. Guys like Hewitt used to settle things after the race which you can't do anymore but settling disputes on the track is way worse.

I've watched the videos numerous times, and I'm no McCarl fan. But that wreck is 10000% on the 44, and not Terry

I'm not condoning the actions of either, and have no dog in the fight, but do you think the wreck still happens if Terry follows the cars back into the pits vs. seeks a confrontation? 

That wreck doesn't happen if the 44 follows the field into the pits either. instead he speed by 2 cars after the yellow to show his displeasure to the 24, then gases up his car and makes contact with the 24. The 44 is at fault here, and I can't even stand the 24
