The G man will always be the biggest what if in central Pa he was going to have a HoF career. I'll never the forget the phone call I got the morning after.

That was a sad night.  The announcers didn't give any info but when we saw the hauler rolling out of the pits after the ambulance, we knew it wasn't good.

You don't think it would have been a clown show if Foyt and Rutherford did it in an era of social media and cameras at every corner?  Also, if you remember it happening that long ago, I'm sure the hype and chatter was very much there.

I watched it on television so it was a tv show and I had an opinion about it.  When I watch the Vikings and T-wolfs I have opinions about them too and sometimes share them in those groups.  I get beat up in those for dwring to think outside the box as well but at this point in my life it's a televised sport.  There's nothing earth shattering about any sport or form of entertainment.

Bottom line with me is that I think all the hype over a NASCAR driver overshadows the drivers racing Sprints for a living.  It turns me off and I have this feeling like it's not going to end well.  Maybe I'm wrong but what does that matter.  I may never get the go ahead from the doctors to attend races again.  I'd be OK in a booth or something like those suites in Knoxville or the booths at a few local tracks but I'm not that well connected.

What I think is a non issue to the greater racing community.  I'm litterally that guy every fan dislikes.  Can't go to the track, watches in my lower level TV room commenting about what I watch online.  Most fans hate tha.

Like I've been saying since the Nationals:

Sprint car fans:  "I can't stand Larson coming in here with his "Nascar money" and taking purses from the sprint car guys!"

Also sprint car fans when Kasey Kahne challenges Larson for the lead of the Nats:  "YAY!!"

The Nascar connection has nothing to do with it.  Otherwise, half of the crowd wouldn't have cheered when Kasey put a wheel inside of Kyle coming out of 4.  They just don't like Kyle winning.  If Kasey wins, the place goes bananas, and Kasey's net worth, according to almost all sources, is higher than Larson's.  And almost all of Kasey's came from nascar.
