Definitely not. The cream rises to the top because time trials, heats and the feature all matter. The drivers inverted to the front of the heats are buried in points. The slow guys from qualifying are not the drivers in the Saturday night A main.
The high points drivers were good all night long.

I like the randomness of the system giving guys like Jace Park a legit chance to do place well. If you tighten it up to providing better chances for fast qualifiers I think you'll get less entries who only have a hope to place well.

If your going to invert you need to double the normal laps to give time to pass. Period.
