Why no Brad Sweet at the Kings Royal. He was there for the Jokers race in the 94 car.

I would have thought they would try and take home two hundred K, since were there.

Very clear that a few guys who are deeply invested in High Limit do not want to support the WoO

On the one hand I get it, it's business period.  On the other, kind of a bad taste since the WoO was a part of making their careers. There's one guy in the HL I used to be a really, really big fan of.  But not so much anymore, I don't know if its the money or fame, but his cocky attitude is just annoying now. But times and things change, we've got two national series now and that doesn't appear to be changing for some time.  And it could be really good, IF both series would include about 10 events a year that they came together for.

On Friday Sweet qualified p10 in group A and was scheduled to start p5 in heat 1 but scratched for the night and didn't attempt Sat.  I don't know if they hurt a motor and didn't have another one or what.  I don't remember hearing or reading why.  From Kyle's comments Thur it sounded like Brad was planning to run both Fri and Sat.

I would not be surprised when no Hi Limit guys can run with the WoO except for Knoxville

Not 'picking sides' but owning 3 sprint car series, a popular race track, trying to race here and there...and throw in a family for good measure, and who knows what else, I don't know of hardly anyone that could keep up with all of that - even with great staff members helping to manage each individual component.

Just having one series to be responsible for plus the rest of regular business and whatever life throws at you is enough in my experience. I don't know how he does it to begin with.

High limit will have to have a more full schedule without 2 to 3 week gaps in it before they can do that. They also may lose a few teams if they do that.

What can you say? The guy has only won 33% of the WoO races he has run so far this year. Kahne has won 33%, Day 50%, Macri 50%. Considering that those 4 guys have the highest winning percentages so far this year in the WoO, I think Brad's doing OK.

I think the real reason Sweet didn't run the King's Royal is because he read Egras' posts on Hoseheads and realized the invert system is all wrong. He sat out the race in protest.

I don't know why he didn't race. I mean, it's an easy game to  just guess what the invert is going to be before it happens, then sandbag on to the pole of a heat race.

Brad has a lot going on. Seems the HL debate has mellowed as both series are doing well. The mid week races are getting better attendance and racing is good but better when all the racers are together plus the extra true Outlaws with Nascar commitments. Brad past record speaks for itself. Still expensive but the guys from 4th on back are able to make more A features and get a better check to keep them on tour. Flo deep pockets not Brads or Kyles are only way they are able to have two series. WOO has a srong following and tradition

That makes more sense. I had not heard anything about him being injured, as I have never known him to back down from healthy competion.

Being past WOO and HL champion Brad can still drive with the best of them. Being in Silva prepared cars He can win at top level and injury would be good reason to sit one out.

You're welcome everyone...

I did talk to Brad, and he doesn't like the format.  He's not going to run it again until heat line-ups are set by either who can throw a football the farthest or by driver's favorite color.  Until then, he's not participating.

If you read all of my replies, I made it clear that I did not think they sandbagged.

Maybe the guy wants to retire? At this point, I don't think he has anything left to prove to anyone.
