Good turnout for both races. It appears some of the top HL racers chose Skagit and even thought Hussets has record payout makes sense to split the field. Last nights races were excellent and passing points format makes it interesting. Buddy and Sheldon are really good at running the top.Has off to Todd for basically saving one of the best short tracks.Chuck put a lot of money in facilities and they are now being used !

Not sure Skagit's format, but Husets did not have a passing points format as far as I know.  Finish position points only.  In a passing points format points are added for positions you gain, and subtracted for positions you lose.  Huset's format was closer to the Knoxville Nationals format---though still quite a bit different in that heat finishing positions did not automatically place you into the mains.

Skagit fomat for night 1 and 2

• 2 lap single car qualifying. (200pts, 198, 196 minus 2pts per position) • Ties within qualifying flights are broken by the drivers recorded second lap time.

• All cars will compete in heat races. Heat races will line up with the top 6 cars inverted from qualifying. (100pts, 97, 94 minus 3pts per position). (10 Laps)

• After qualifying and heat races are completed the top 20 in night 1 preliminary points will lock into the preliminary night 1 30 lap 24 car A-main event. The preliminary night 1 A-main event will have a 16-car inversion. (200pts, 198, 196 minus 2pts per position).

Super Dirt Cup Final night:

• The top 4 in accumulated preliminary night points lock directly into the A-main and Pole Shuffle. (positions 1-4 in the Pole Shuffle order)

• Positions 5 thru 44 in preliminary night points will be lined straight up in 4 qualifiers. The top 4 finishers from each of these qualifiers will transfer to the A-Main Event. Finishers 5th thru 8th will transfer to the B-main. Finishers 9 and 10 will go to the Cmain. Drivers 45 back will fill the C and D main fields.

The 16 car invert for the features makes this awesome. Sort of makes you question how they can rationalize it, but after watchig it the past few years it's been so cool, Added note: Skagit does restarts different than other tracks. They put their restart zone on the back stretch. Anything goes into turn 3. Just adds an extra half lap of actual racing into every restart including some intense divebomb sliders.
