Although it had a rather short time in existence East Bay Raceway was a great little 1/3 mile especially in its first 25 years or so.

East Side Speedway, Waynesboro, Virginia. My first good dirt track (went to Staunton, Va.'s "Devils Bowl" first but it was not nearly as good) They eventually added a drag strip, then later closed the dirt track, now they're both gone

Surprised the number of folks who mentioned Grass Valley, or Ernie Purcell Speedway as larsonfan correctly named it. Just the epitome of the small town track at one of the prettiest fairgrounds in the country. Red clay quarter with a doglegged front straight untill the late '80s that pulled in some 15% of the town's population every Saturday for 360 Winged Sprints, Late Model Sportsmen, Hobbies and later on Mods and 4 bangers. Moved there in '85 and was delighted to find a track only minutes from home and joined in with the fun with a LMS until the class got dropped after '91 and the whole joint in '95. Place was run, maintained and all by the local club Central State Racing Association bu the fair board thought they could do something that would bring in more $. They were wrong. Now they have a couple of Draft Horse shows a year and a Demo Derby during the annual fair. Miss a lot of old tracks all over the country but that one had special meaning for me.

Wrong Devil's Bowl (this one still exists, right?), but I googled it & found this video. These are the kind of cars that got me started.... loooong time ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtY6lIkgFzE
There's a Devil's Bowl in Vermont, too...

Ascot. I don't think anything has been done with the land the track was on.

Have you ever googled it? It's a parking lot.

Who could afford to go there? Have you seen the admission prices? $1.50 for adults and 50 cents for kids! That's highway robbery. No one can afford to take a family to something that expensive.
