National exposure is good for our sport...
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..
Life is good...

Yes, this is good exposure for sprint car racing, sponsors, etc.
How do you all watch "television" and what streaming services do you watch or pay for?
I'll start:
1. We have a shared Amazon account
2. Peacock
Primarily we watch free stuff on youtube. I'll likely purchase dirtvision later in the spring.

I think it's good but personally have doubts about how well it can go. Nothing against High Limit but I've never thought sprint car racing was particularly great on live TV. It's just nature of the beast. Too little green flag time and way too much time doing interviews. You can bet I'll be watching though, and I'd love to be wrong about my doubts.

I agree the delayed productions play better for tv slots like cbs sports network woo productions

As a fan, I hope it works out for FS1 & HL. Its great to see spring car racing get more exposure. Unfortunately, live sprint car racing is a tough sell for people who are not already fans of the sport. A lot of race fans who are not Sprint car fans have been trained by NASCAR to expect very predictable racing. The frequent yellow flags and red flags in sprint car racing, and the long restart time with push starting might cause people to tune out. I know when I take newbies to the track and you get one of those nights with a lot of flips and spins, they lose interest pretty quick. I'm guessing, if these newbies were at home instead of at the track with me, they'd be switching the channel pretty quick.Granted, with a professional racing series, you would have a lot less downtime than a local show. All that said, I hope this thing ends up being a big win.

I think that is why you're seeing more emphasis on shows starting when posted, and running an effecient show.
For down time, that's when a good experienced announcer will keep the fans entertained. I've thought for years that Knoxville always had some of the best announcers from Jack, Tim, and Tony.
One thing that I think would not be super entertaining is the time trials. While I'm a traditionalist, I like time trials. For someone new or to a casual fan I think it would be pointless of watching that.
Back to the point. I also think Knoxville Raceway and obviously other well ran tracks, do a great job of highlighting their sponsors, which if you're getting national or regional exposure, it's what I want to see as a sponsor.

I have Flo and would be watching these events live anyways, so personally, it makes no difference. As many have pointed out, the casual fan is not going to stick it out through the entire show because it doesn't work well live. For the sprint car fan that cannot afford Flo or DV, this will be great. So the only question will be: Are there enough sprint car fans that don't already subcribe to Flo or DV that will tune in for the races? I hope they do, but have my doubts.

I'm in New Zealand and used to watch both DV and Flo.
But I only watch Flo now as DV got too expensive .
DV 300USD = 503NZD
Flo 150USD = 252NZD
So DV is double the price.
Cheers
