many consider Kyle Ripper to be the best crew chief in the outlaw pit area. Its going to be fun to watch the elevation of sheldon and ripper next year

Kinda off topic.  There sure are a lot of wrenches considered to be the best in the business.  Almost makes you think there might be more than Ricky, Cody and Paul out there.  And maybe, just maybe, some of these "best in the business" crew chiefs work with drivers who are badasses.  And maybe, just maybe, no matter who the wrench is, they aren't going to turn an average driver into a star, and they know they need a star in the seat to get out of the car what they put in.  (As opposed to the RW lovers who think you just insert "Driver A" into Ricky's seat and he turns them into a king)

How can you keep on keeping on saying that after what we all just witnessed with driver Ryan Timms and crew chief Shane Liebig ????         Did you even watch the races in 2025 ?

Your comment doesn't seem to be about my comment? What is it you're trying to say?

your comment is spot on murph.  my take as a former buissness owner is when you fail as expected. it is always about the bottom line.  lets say Scelzies comment is true.  6k every night they drop the end of the trailler, every night of racing lets just say for every A main times 6k for grins 90 a year, $540,000 just to perform at that level,to drop the ass end.  Koifoid has won over $750k this year so then you pay the driver his percentage and  bla bla bla.  so now you throw the monkey wrench into the equation, peeps are acting out, life on the road, no family life and little to no time off!  did it happen early in the year?  the list goes on, bottom line is the only thing that matters at the end of the day, week after week, month after month.  life goes on... again jmo here..

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

Don't forget that the teams have other income, like from merch sales and sponsor money.

If you're saying that crew chief Shane Liebig was the reason that Ryan Timms started winning, why didn't the drivers Liebig have before win a lot? Or why didn't Shane win a lot back when he was driving the car?

I'd say it takes a combination of a good driver and a good crew chief.
