Both wins good for sport. Dale proving consistent smooth laps on a familar track coming from 5th  against the best at 61in a car that wasnt exactly like most of them is very cool. Even though Dannys race was shortened He passed Gio and was handling traffic on a very fast track. Worst races are rubber down which happens these were both well prepared. The cowboy up California rough short tracks are fun to watch also. A good week for seniors as Billy Moyer of stock car fame well over 60 won a late model championship. So Donnys turn to qualify better and set sail hard to use age when Dale showed what experience and good car can accomplish.

My email address is [email protected], had that email address for 30 years. Glad Dale won but wouldn't be surprised if the major tour know-it-alls found a way to ban whatever makes that car tick.

Met the Sams kid at Cedar Lake last year after he won the Jerry Richert race. Nice guy, glad he won. Seemed like the fastest car but 10 laps does not a feature make. Hope he gets another one to back it up and prove naysayers like myself wrong.

Awesome to see Dale win that race and that car was a rocket on the bottom. I fully expect the WoO will make some rule changes on wings. Back in the run watcha brung days all of them were trying different things and it made it more interesting. Now it's the same ol mouse trap with different wraps.

It would make more sense to allow what Blaney has found so others can go faster and seems to maybe handle better. Seems like banning innovation is anti-productive.

Why would WoO do that now when they didn't 4 years ago when dave win in same car.

Social media has been hilarious the past 24 hours.  National tour haters have gone from "unhook these cars so they aren't so fast" to "let them run whatever wing configuration they want so they can go faster."  Funny stuff.  Make up your minds.

Dale was just on Jeremy Elliott's podcast last week. I didn't know it but he drives the motor coach for AJ Amendinger, said it's a great gig. They got into his basketball career a little bit as well, interesting guy & family.

Also probably the tallest and one of the nicest. Before powersteering many sprint car drivers like Dick Gaines Bob Kinser Steve Kinser were made a little tougher. Now there are a few bigger ones like DD but most think guys like Buddy Rico Larson Sweet are Sheldon are an advantage even though cars weigh the same after race. I agree that when cars were not weighed 50# made a difference but Steve was the exception with his talent and determination.

Before they ran power steering guys like Buddy, Rico, Larson, Sweet, Sheldon would never be in a car. Back then they also ran 50 lappers (or more) all the time. These little dudes would be falling out of the seat half way through, if not sooner.

I think the power steering came in around 1985-86ish. That changed the game considerably.
