I remember when they used to check engines on a regular basis. This seems to be gone by the wayside. How can we be sure that everyone is running legally? It seems that if they are not checking them, why wouldn't somebody cheat? It used to be the practice to pull the heads on the top 3 at random times.

I know they do at the Nationals. Anyone know of other instances, or other big races in which they do so? I don't know if it would be necessary to do so on some of these smaller tracks. Most of them they can't get the extra power to the dirt anyways. Would be better off looking for traction control.
