Its not that not interesting, money talks. Sams can bring a crew with him. Makes sense for both parties. Sucks for Madsen, who you seem to be such a big fan of

I wish we would call ride buys for what they are. All these discussions about teams "taking chances" and "he's a good fit for their operation" is basically kayfabe wrestling BS.
"Racing is expensive, the driver is supplying the motors" would be more truthful and refreshing than all the PR nonsense we read.

I think most of us on this forum understand that, but this has been going on for a long time. Obviously there are exceptions, where the talent is there and maybe the sponsorship is just starting to follow the driver.
And some of what they say may be partially true. There are many pieces to the puzzle that not all of us see or would even need to know, on why drivers are chosen.

Just relaying what I heard bud, isnt that kind of the whole point of Forums. Discussions before things are publically released? You seem to be a big fan of 'Daddy's got Dollars" drivers

It would be kinda cool to see a press release that said a driver got the seat by bringing his racing talent.
I'd say there's a distinction between a driver that brought sponsor money with him and one that brought family money with him. The first suggests that a sponsor thinks he has talent and worth. The second suggests that he was born with the right genes.
