Watching Williams Grove on DIRTVision has got to be one of the most boring things anyone can do. More than 20 minutes have passed since they started the feature lineup tonight (August 29th) & they are only now pushing off the cars. The announcer is continuously silent adding to the boredom. It was the same during the previous week's Jack Gunn Memorial. There is absolutely no attempt to inject any excitement. No wonder why people have lost interest in the place & crowds were down. No attempts at all to speed up the shows.

Seems less and less people in a position to push for excellence, care about excellence. I was at RadTorque Speedway in Edmonton and the show was moving along extremely slowly. Annoyed I left after the 1st of 7 features. I'm a die hard and always strive to get my money's worth, but tonight even I had enough.

The feature was great! But it's so easy to bitch and moan about little things isn't it?

Funny you bring this up as I was texting my buddy the same thing last night. He has attended races at The Grove weekly for over 40 years, but due to physical limitations only attends a handful of special shows now, but never misses a race on Dirtvision. It did take forever to roll the cars on the track for the feature. I think as fans, we are spoiled watching the national tours on streaming, be it the Outlaws, High Limit or USAC. I think the reason is all have a knowledgeable pit reporter to fill in the downtime. My buddy suggested having BAPS announcer Dave Hare, who already does some announcing at Williams Grove, be the pit reporter on a weekly basis. He has a great grasp of the local drivers, a great voice and would really spice up the show, both in person and on Dirtvision. Just something to think about for next year.
By the way, last night's feature might have been the most exciting race and finish in years at Williams Grove. Kudos to Macri, Dietrich and Dietz for a hard, clean race.
