Bullshit! I have been helping run two different businesses over the last 38 years!
|
You're correct, the McDonalds employee cleaning the toilets is helping run the business too. But it keeps on going without him doesn't it.
Would you like fries with that?

Can you guys start a post strictly about Schatz so you can go on and on about the same sheet? Instead of hijacking every thread. I think my kids bicker less than this.
I think we can all agree, is Schatz past his prime. Yes.
Is Rico in his Prime? possibly
Can Schatz still win? Yes, do I want to see him still race, yes.
Do I care if Schatz has X wins and Rico gets more or less than him. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Keep It Real

Really odd. I could see if the woo didn't acknowledge or hype the drivers when they come race with them but they absolutely do. What benefit does the WoO get by acknowledging High Limit? What benefit does High Limit get by talking about the Outlaws during their show and having to admit that a woo driver beat the series regulars last night?
|
I actually think Tony does an unbiased job on WoO and High Limit. Quick to point out Outlaws coming and and taking High Limit money and Vice versa. That is healthy for the sport. Now WoO and Dirtvision.......not so much.

By "helping" you mean "working for". Aint no way in hell someone as close-minded as you could possibly be involved in "running" a succesful business.

Rico finished 18th, and got what- $1200? He probably spent $10.000 to get that. Schatz, who races with the World Of Outlaws and doesn't compete with the High Limit Franchise or the NBA made no prize money, but didn't spend $10,000. Who's came out ahead?

Do you think your ahem "CFO" would appreciate you talking glowingly about the main competitor in the business that he's a "CFO" in?

No one that's actually dealt with accountants in business is going to take this seriously. Few successful businesses are successful because they listened to the accountant.
I can spot a business "run" by an accountant from a mile away:
1. Bars that run out of Budweiser at 9:00 on a Saturday night
2. Sporting Goods stores that are out of ice-fishing equipment on Jan. 1st.
3. Stores that are out of swimming trunks on Memorial day
4. Stores that are out of winter coats the day after Thanksgiving
5. Race parts suppliers that have a 6 week back order for a component in Mid-May
Did I miss any?

I don't work for any of those companies. However my views are very much welcomed by the CFO and yes they do use what I suggest we do a fair amount of times. I love it when people who never had to meet a payroll chime in!
Not only that but also show cash projections 4 months ahead to help make informed decisions what the company should and shouldn't do. We are between 125 to 130 million each year in sales.

No they didn't. After Campbells were bought out I stayed with that company for a little over a year. Then they were closing down the office I worked in for 27 years. I then was asked to travel over 60 miles one way to work. When I left there the president of the company told me I would always have a job there if I wanted it. Those are the facts.
