Races at Knoxville and BeaverDam both benifitted from the extra top quality cars. Compared to normal weekly show admission price is a bargain. Tyler is a class driver and it was a close one. Sweet found an extra gear buy beating the WOO in another good race. There was a couple spins and keep going which isnt easy to do without contact. We officially have two traveling series both have top drivers. Still amazing #25 s HL win. Should have took the $26K and watched rest of weekend and had fun.

For sure! Can't speak for Beaver Dam but the racing at Knoxville was great. Good clean night (No Reds as I recall)...
Looking forward to another one this weekend.

So if I am in Wisconsin with enough money for just one 410 fix i go to the WoO show because i knows Gravel and friends won't be at a HL show and it's pretty safe to say Rico and Gus will be at the WoO which is exactly why the WoO protect their brand.

It's not rocket science, is it? I have yet to attend a HL show. Why? Not because I hate the HL---on the contrary. But because I have multiple options during the year to see them and the Outlaws all in one place, I'm picking those shows. No offense to the HL organization, but it makes me a smart consumer. Knoxville in April. Knoxville in June. Knoxville in August. And, I was on my way to Angell Park, WI yesterday afternoon before they called it. I have absolutely no reason to attend a HL show that is missing some of the top cars in the country when I have plenty of Outlaw sanctioned shows where I get to see all of the top cars in the country.
If HL wants to keep operating that way, fine. If they are concerned about attendance at the tracks, and the promoters inviting them back, they may need to rethink the free-for-all scenario. If it's working out fine for them, so be it. It's a free country. Run your business the way you want. I just have no reason at this point in time to seek out, and pay admission to, a HL show. It would be silly.

Can't say I disagree with your logic, but in the Omaha area, there isn't much for sprint car racing other than the 305's. I'd rather see a full field, but as the HL is racing at Eagle tomorrow, I'll go even though I won't see all of the best cars in the nation racing. I make the trip to Knoxville several times a year, but a 6 hour round trip gets old. Husets is a little more and Lakeside is a little less.

In your shoes, I would do the same.

I'm obviously not the biggest High Limit fan, but putting that aside this is a very interesting point of view and the best argument in favor of the WoO business model I've seen.

Then why did WoO change that business model and let their guys start racing outside the series ? If WoO driver exclusivity restrictions were necessary, then why did World Racing Group get rid of them ?
This is now the 3rd season that WoO Platinum drivers could race outside the series. Fans no longer have to go to an Outlaw event to see an Outlaw driver compete. The sky is not falling.
Are you guys saying WoO is wrong in allowing their drivers to race at HL events ?

1. The vast majority of the WoO drivers don't use their 4 "hall passes" they have available anyways. 2. Name a High Limit race I can put on my calendar for next year that I can expect all of the Outlaws to show up for and I'll try to be there.......
If I were running a national series, for the reasons I listed a few posts ago, the full-time drivers in my series would have the same rules as the WoO full-time drivers. The HL would have gotten my business at a track multiple times already if I couldn't see their entire field at other events.

If I drive from Canada to watch 410s I am planning my trip around a WoO event in a night that it's likely the HL could appear. Much better odds to see more of the best at a WoO show than at at HL show.

Ditto if i were running as series as well - the post you referenced nailed it 100%.
As far as your:
#1 look no further than Logan i believe he ran two - the non-WoO Eldora shows where HL & WoO were both there - additionally he didn't run Pa tracks when WoO had off.
#2 Eldora and if Port Royal pays $100,000.00 again.
Other than the occasional rainouts on the WoO schedule where they okay a driver to race at a track they have on the schedule.....ie Buddy at Williamsgrove two weeks ago....WoO drivers seem to want the time off.
WoO always has had the 100 mile & 24 hour rule for their drivers that was never waived. Drivers have asked for years for permission to run elsewhere on a down night and have generally received it.

That makes sense for you cause you live within striking distance of Knoxville
Rolldog's comment shows that its not true for everyone. Lots of us have to take what we can get, & another sanctioning body makes that easier. I was gonna hit the HL/ Weikert Memorial race at Port Royal, but wimped out on the 5 1/2 hr. drive....I'm a year older than Stan M, starting to feel the same way about long solo drives....

Logan Schuchart competed in 9 non WoO races last season.
Weikert Memorial - HL Eagle - HL 4 PA Speedweek shows. Double Down Duo - HL Jokers Jackpot - HL BAPS Sprint Showdown.
