Hoping this won't turn into a messy bash fest to Tyler Walker but I just wanted to say after listening to him on Chaz's Podcast, I hope he can keep his focus on healing and getting better with good people around him. To see him back in a Sprint Car and competing would be awesome. I would definately be a fan (never was not a fan) with a new Tyler Walker T-shirt... Time will tell but I wish for him the strength to sustain and chase his dreams. .

Tyler is not a kid anymore. If he were to stay clean a comeback on the national stage against these young guys running now at 46 woulld be tough for anyone.

I too would like Tyler to be healthy and off drugs. Listening to this podcast, I don't have much hope.
I haven't listed to Chaz much, but I wonder if he wears a tin-foil hat. Maybe he was just playing along with Tyler's stories.

A 46 year-old guy that hasn't raced in- what? 20, 25 years? The chances of him getting back into racing and doing well are about one in a million.
I wish him well in his struggle to be sober. His racing days are way behind him.

Tyler was a good shoe. He had a shot at NASCAR which most dont ever get and had a lot of fans. I wish him the best but Father Time plus some bad habits will make it very difficult. We have seen guys thay were the best lose that little extra edge .

I think everyone on here knows he WAS a "good shoe", to be honest. We all know he "had a shot" at Nascar, and couldn't stay sober.
The point was, he hasn't raced in a long time, I'd say closer to 10-12 when he was running that 88 in Cali, and competed well. That said, I think the racing only fuels his addiction, doesn't help him one bit to hop back into a racecar.

He was in commercials with Kasey Kahne and played AJ Foyt in a music video by Kenny Brack. Addiction is a sumbich.

I sure hope he truly is sober, he seemed a bit out of it in the interview. Wishing him nothing but the best.

He has been fighting these demons since he was a teenager. Him racing is another pipe dream. Just hope he can pull his life together and semi function in society

Agree 100%! For God's sake, Donny has been racing the entire Outlaw series at the same age and cannot quite compete with the young guns at the top. And Walker is going to jump back in and be bad to the bone, just like he never left? I don't even give it 1 in a million. Zero chance! (Ok, not quite 100% agree)

I don't think he ever claimed he was going to out and whoop up on the top tier guys. He did claim that he could get up to speed after a few times out. Maybe not Kyle Larson speed but certainly not in everyones way speed either. From the looks of the footage at Placerville, I know he finished somewhere in the B but he did not look bad for his 1st time out in many years.

Youtube broadcast (I think Dirt Tracker) said it was a 360 engine competing against 410's
I'm not a Tyler Walker fan, and not a fan of his previous behaviour and his actions, but kinda funny he got on TMZ and also had 3 state high speed chase with questionable items and person in his car and a felony (not funny he put so many people's lives at risk )
But maybe Tyler has paid his dues, maybe racing has kept him literally alive just hoping he could race again. I applud he got back in a race car again and he is (hopfully) winning his addiction and demons. He's not the first guy to destroy his life, but he still has time to do well in his 2nd half. Statics day it will be a bitch, but rooting from him personally. (maybe not on the track, probably personally believe he doesn't deserve a chance to race on other people's time, WAY to many deserving guys (from lower series) that will NEVER EVER get a shot in a race car/sprint car.
Tyler in his day could take equipment to a win that most couldn't
I do not know all the facts about his life (other than social media), so I basically don't know shit about him other than personally seen him race. He's a gaser but more importantly, a human being who has loved one's personally affected by his actions.
Goodluck Tyler on your 2nd half of life rooting for you.
