The merchandice offered by teams and sanctioning body's has become a huge factor in promoting the sport, and a large source of cash for teams.  T-Shirt sales are most likely at the top of the sales.  However, many of us, especially us old farts, have countless T-Shirts, therefore we seldom buy any.  Unless, I've overlooked items, no one is selling button down shirts with collars and at least 1 pocket.  there are collector car and brand name shirts of this style available. For an example, I think a shirt of this style, with sprint cars, both wing and non-wing would be huge sellers.  If available, I would buy some.  Thoughts or comments?

I've bought a couple of Larson's polo shirts. I like simple/understated designs instead of the loud front/back designs on t-shrits. But I suspect we're the minority or we'd see more.

Man, You must be really old. They changed the spelling of merchandise since you graduated

The problem with today's merchanidse is everyone is using the same "artists" and all the gear is templated via a computer design. And banner design with a swoosh or a flame across the chest on going downwards form the breats pocket area downwards. Then a car at an angle, big font letters, some zigs and zags and a few flouresent options of colors...you got yourself 75% of the field's gear. Nobody is origonal.

I've also been saying for years that we need gear for those who want to support their driver away form the track. Sure, you can wear anything. But I want something that fits in on causla date night. Maybe a thermal with a small design of the team name or driver. A flannel for winter time. A basic shirt that fits in with any occaision. Not always do I want to scream race fan at every turn while out and about. Sometimes you wanna be more causal with it and fit in with what's happeneing outside the races. It;s a missed opportunity for teams.

The costs of these items you're talking likely costs the team $20+, cost. Are most race fans willing to fork out $50 or more for a polo? The risk vs reward is greater as well.

A few teams ( Larson, Gravel, Shark )  will offer polos, jackets, flannels. There's merchandise out there, you just may have to hunt for it on their websites.

The easiest way to support a driver / team, IMO, without wearing a traditionally designed sprint car shirt, is to purchase a hat.
