Hi all,

I am having trouble getting a hold of Butler Built via e-mail. What I am trying to find out is a cost of their ratchet type seat belts. Can anyone answer this question for me? Has anyone had much to do with the belts? Used them, etc? Good, Bad or otherwise?

Thanks, Sopa (Australia)

Butler does not make those belts. A company called Hooker Harness. Scott McPhillips is a contact or they can be purchased from NorCal Performance in Ca. NorCal Performance Parts .com Ask for Jacob Or Ned

Yeah, watch out when buying them from Butler, as they may have been sitting on a shelf for a while (old date codes)........

I will tell you this; Brian and Jeannie would never do anything to jeopardize the safety of their product or a product they sell. They are top notch people that go above and beyond for their customers.

That is NOT what I said. I did not and will not disparrage them. I use their seats, and LOVE them. Brand new belts that have been sitting on a shelf is not a safety issue. But, when you are paying $400+ for belts that are already a year old, and certain organizations require belts to be no older than two years, that is a good reason to find another vendor, wouldn't you say?

Midwest Race Fan, if you received a set of belts from us that were a year old, they were shipped in error.  We do keep a few sets of dated belts for display purposes only.  If you will contact me I will personally take care of this issue immediately.

thats customer relations! , this belt thing is kinda wishy washy , what says the dirt, oil, soap, water, and chemicals used on a car on a weekly basis doesnt effect the material of the harness , I would use my own judgement on saftey regardless of D.O.B ,if the belts sat in a box for a year unused? I would still take them over a recently (hard) crashed (stretched) set , unfortunatly tracks will not remember if you took a spill, or honestly not know if or when your trouble occured ? the belts could be one night old ? in a track or sanctioning body's defence, the only evidence of (up to par equipment) is the date code , this is just a reminder of who is really in charge of your own ass, goodluck and take care

Jeannie and Brian have went above and beyond what other manufactures have done to keep drivers safe.  They not only worry about nascar and the woo but the local guys too.  Great people who are doing there best to treat everyone right and keep everyone safe.  Thanks Brian, Jeannie and the Butler Built crew.
