Temps in the mid- to upper-60's, low precip chances (today NOAA shows a 17% chance between 3-5pm and that's it), and at least $35,000 just added to the purse.
Engines should be hitting hard tonight and tomorrow with those temps, paired with an excellent field of drivers should make for a great 2-nights of racing.

I'm sure a certain few will find a way to somehow bash HL/Port for increasing the purse.
Outlaws are at Attuca tonight. Wonder if any will make the tow to the Port to run for the $100K Sunday?

A 5 1/2 hour drive in 'sprint car terms' is pretty normal for teams...especially when the weather doesn't appear to be an issue.
One thing is for certain, some team is taking home $100,000 tomorrow night, and there are probably about 20 of them that have a legitimate shot at it...which will make it super exciting for fans.

This is great news for sprintcar racing! I just hope we don't have a repeat of the 50 last year.....just saying!

Kyle Larson may show up to attempt the triple, something that has not happened in years. He may get a provisional under special provisions for non-regulars who are part owners of the series.

I'd be OK with them giving a provisional to anybody that raced at Indy tomorrow afternoon. If they all showed up, I think Kyle Larson is the only name most would recognize.

OK, you've reached your limit of 500 post responses about how to do track prep.
I, for one, am not going to go through another summer moderating this forum reading the same post by you over and over and over, so any future posts like this will simply be deleted.
The only reason I'm leaving this one up is so you can see you've been warned - for the final time.
Ya know, when I thought there could be improvements or more excitement at tracks and areas I've lived in over the past 45 years, I'd go help the track to help affect change.
But just sitting around complaining about the same thing over and over - and not doing anything about it is nothing other than bitching.
Go help a track! Show them how it's done! Impress us! Life is too short for inaction.
