From what i know about Rico, which isnt much and only from interviews, i can see him taking more responsibility for something even if it wasnt 100% his fault. Drivers with good PR wont throw others under the bus publically.

And if someone needs to inflate their own value by praising or bashing a sprint car drivers ability, sad stage of life for them.

Does one being better than thebkther matter to any of us. They are both entertaining and risking life for fans. Why cant you like them both?

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

He took out the leader, which also took out the two super cars in the event. That's not exactly the greatest driving skills from a guy you've put on the invincibility pedestal.

Watch it again.  Madsen came down on Rico.  Rico was all the way side by side when they touched Rico couldn't get any lower.  He didn't move off the bottom.

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Rico - 6 wins
Donny - 0 wins

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Tomato, tamato. Watch it again. Two racers were fighting for the same piece of real estate and bonked together. If the positions had been reversed, would you be defending Madden? How would the race have played out if Rico hadn't tried to drive through a perceived gap ahead of him?

Says the guy who says last night was just a racing deal? Rico immediately apologized for what happened and was clearly not happy with how it turned out. IMO he took responsibility for what happened and handled it with class. But you continue with your same old bullshit trying to prove your dumb takes about Schatz. It's hard to take you as a serious person when you continue engage in bafoonery.

Ha ha ha. Age doesn't matter. I guess that's why Rico has more wins than Sammy, Todd Shaffer, and Daryrn Pittman this year. Smile

So when you are side by side entering the corner...the guy on the bottom has to give way to the guy on the top?  Rico didn't move up the track.  Madsen had to know he was there ....racing deal....you guys are the Stevie wonders of the world!

Maybe you should look at the video. They weren't side by side entering the corner. Rico was trying to jam his car down low into a perceived opening. Because of centrifugal force, he couldn't keep the car low and drifted up into Madden.

Perhaps,if Rico had only tootled his horn, Kerry would have waved him past.

Better look at that again slappy.  This was just before the corner.  If Madsen didn't know he was there that is a totally different story.

Guess again big guy.

Strike one: You posted this exact picture on the other thread and said it was them side by side going into turn one.

Strike two: This isn't them side by side down the back stretch going into the corner. This is them in the corner just before contact. Hint-watch the video.

Strike three: You can't use photos of video stills to prove your point if they show the opposite of what you're saying.

Father time hasnt been defeated yet. Donny Steve Doug were the best now Kyle is best part time driver.Several had a shot as NASCAR and some like Gordon and Kasey Kyle made it work. Riding around at speed is like the 4 wide salute to the fans at 200 mph

Donny Schatz didn't have any championships until he teamed up with Ricky, And Ricky only had a Gumout Championship with Tyler Walker. And Donny hasn't had a champion since Ricky left and Ricky hasn't either. So I think they were a great team together and we will just have to wait and see how they do in the next couple of years. And for now just be thankful that you had a chance to watch them when they were together AT THEIR BEST.

Correct, correct, correct, and correct.  Both were the perfect combo when they were in their prime.  It will be interesting to see what Rico can do now that he is in his prime.  He's got a ways to go to reach the level of Schatz when he was at Rico's age, but it seems Rico is gaining momentum.

However, I can see it now.  Ricky will retire when Rico is 40-42 years old, and Strawser will blame Rico's downturn in performance on Ricky leaving, rather than follow the stats of 98% of sprint car drivers in history, and the obvious correlation in age and wins.
