It can bring rain to the parched desert sand. Smile Is there anything that High Limit can't do?

And 500 fans in the grandstand.  I like the High Limit races just gets old with people thinking they are the savior of the world.

They  went to 14 racetracks that they are not back at this year so I don't think everything is as rosey as it appears to be at times.

Promoters have to make money or there are no races. That's the bottom line.

I think even you are smart enough to see that the promoters lost money this weekend,

Pretty impressive crowd with no other motorsports events around the area to supply an audience. Maybe Kyle and Brad are on to something!

With thursday night's rain out and Friday's make up raining out if it were not for the near sellout crowd on Saturday night it would have been a bust for sure. I think after last nights crowd and their cut of the streaming revenue they at the least broke even and possible made a small profit.

Gravel raced against Ginger Kitty 17 times last year and beat him on track 12 times. Gravel won 5 of the 17 starts to Kitty's 1.

Gravels average finish, 4.5, Kitty 11.5.

I'd say the reality is that every sports star's carreer moves in an arc. Sweet was at the top of his arc. Gravel has been climbing to the top of his arc. We are at that point where the two overlap.

To best illustrate the arc concept, I watched the WoO race recap from last night. When it showed a car passing a familiar #15, I had to look up at the leader list to see who was in the #15.

I agree with both DSC and Murph.  1.  Gravel would have beaten Sweet last season anyways.  and, 2.  Both drivers curves, as Murphy described, are at different points in their careers.  The Schatz curve became evident when he hit his 40's.  Sweet is definitely a force, but he's 39, and Gravel is 32.  I can tell you without a doubt I noticed a huge difference in 40 vs. 30.  HUGE.

It kinda reminds me of the moron we have on Hosers that blames RW's departure and switching from a bowtie to a Ford as the reason Schatz is no longer a dominant force vs. the obvious that he is now 47.  I'm only 4 years older, and in fairly good shape.  However, my eyesight absolutely tanked when I hit 45.  I found out I need a hip replacement at 51 years old, and can barely get around.  I went from walking, biking, and jogging 5-6 days per week just 5 years ago, to barely being able to walk to the mailbox.  And somehow these guys are all supposed to keep winning at ridiculous levels because Kinser was able.

Sweet is still one of the top guys in the country, but he is definitely beginning to turn the corner on his trajectory.  Gravel is not---he's still on the way up.

It's pretty clear that noone in the WoO has anything for Gravel.   Anyone going to challenge Sweet for the HL championship?   It would seem to me that both series are in the same boat there.   Too bad they're in different series now or else the season battle between those two might be interesting now???
