It took me a lot of years to quit calling Muslims 'sandn-----s'. The truth is Muslims are smart enough to know better in general. They have a lot to lose too. Our leaders are VERY good friends with the more powerful Muslim nations. Look it up. The rogue nations are the problem. Or so we are told- smoke and mirrors are also involved.

alright man - Obama also smoked weed and snorted coke as well. I don't find these charachteristics that one should be disqualified for. the president we have now led an aristocratic life where each mess he left was silently cleaned up, and grades at Yale were probably bought (how else would he graduate?)

what anyone is failing to understand from that - is that someone with islamic militants at heart could never possible destroy america from the oval office. educate yourself. it is impossible. the only way this country could get so F'ed up from a president - is the situation we are presently excperiencing. it's no secret the overwhelming abuse of the executive branch under bush. it's even hrad to not to question events around the 9/11 attacks considering how the administration has profited of it. anyhow, if Obama was elected - he would have a close eye on him the entire way. any democrat will - because news agencies receive checks from corporations whose interests are best served by conservative thinking. and if that document is true (questionable) - then the knowledge gained from such an experience could only strengthen a persons charachter. it is a small minority that attend those schools that end up as militants (very true). so at least Obama knows something about it - as opposed to our current leader who is not nearly as stupid as he seems.......but the very idea that he is stupid makes everyone look the other way from what is really happening. I'll continue this argument tomorrow as it is past my bed time. but in closing, people should quit searching dumb reasons to not elect a black man as president. it's not as if Obama is the only one I like - hell I like most of the candidates on either side - I just want one who will back it up when they get elected. I don't like Giuliani.......b/c its sad to see so mamy profit off of such a horrible event. and he wasn't even a good mayor. but even some of what he says I can agree with. I like Ron Paul a lot - and think he might have a chance if news stations would actually run his name on their polls. most aren't even aware that actually happens - and Edwards is good. I think Clinton is a wahoo. but I just hope we get a president who reps the common citizen and not the private corporation. but yeah bed time....................

Bush lied to get into office. We've seen that it works.

It is known that we are skeptical of really anyone with political ambitions.

I won't check the $1 box on my income tax sheet, but a corporate lobbyist will find a way to donate $millions without being busted.

Behind the stage curtain.....knowing people will lie to get in........knowing a hopeful public will change it's mind with a little help from the media........

Donate to both sides, but support the side that will give you the best deal. Republicans tend to have a better network. But winning a trophy does not always secure the objective. I have no warm fuzzies for anyone looking for the oval office. The hardest part for me to encounter here is to swallow my conscience and see that at the end what is going on in Iraq is patriotic. -China will want that oil. The allies it can get will also.- Iran wishes to keep control of it's destiny, thus it has a nuclear program even if it's only to fire up light bulbs.--Nuclear weapons though could keep the US from trying to get in. Yet they would have to point them at one of OUR allies.

The neighbors in this area hope all this can get sorted out before all hell really breaks out. Even if part of the scheme includes anti US propaganda towards their own.

We're gonna be okay, just know it could have been a lot worse. We were within 15 minutes of a nuclear holocaust in 1962. The kinder part of the balance will not leave us. And I still don't know who to vote for.

I pray Obama wins the nomination. He would surely be easier to beat than Hilary. I am scared to death that the screech-owl will be our next president.

There is no question that George is the worst president since........ well, even I'm not old enough to remember a worse prez. Among other things, he has ruined our relationship with the rest of the world. He did the right thing in getting rid of Saddam, but about everything since has been a disaster.

But Hilary would be worse. It's funny how people who say "Bush lied" can easily overlook the fact that the Clintons get up every morning and plan their lies for the day. Neither have any political convictions - it's just what is politically correct today. Never mind what they said yesterday.

In contrast, I think the rest of the candidates - including Obama and all the Republicans - are relatively consistent in their beliefs. Some have waffled on abortion, which I can relate to as i've struggled with that for years. I don't necessarily agree with them, but I believe they believe what they are saying.

In my post I meant to imply that the Clintons would lie too. As well as just about anyone going for the oval office.

I would have voted for Bush in 2k, had I voted. 2004, then too. The last year has been an awakening.

We choose parties based on our beliefs and ideas. If they have to lie, then it is no different than choosing a winner in a football game. Our best hope is that WHOMEVER gets the nod, is deep down a true patriot. Even if it means such a characteristic isn't easily seen for years. ---Since they are willing to lie to us, that means our voice still matters. We have a right to care and voice our opinions, but the truth is going to take years to filter through.

I have finally reasoned enough with current events in Iraq to say sincerely----Support our Troops.

I didn't sell out, I only saw that we are in a smaller war in order to avoid a larger one. If either is inevitable, then go for the lesser of the two evils and hope for the best. Iraq could have easily become another Cuba but in it's own unique way.
