Driving from a few hours away. Going to leave soon but the outlaw race at 81 speedway and 25-35 gust to 40 is forecasted should slow down a bit in the evening. Anyone know how high winds get before they cancel? Thanks

Can't help ya but I think they will run. Won't be pleasant but with those winds and it dying down after sunset it should be fine. I'd guess if it was high wind warning and gusts 50-60 then it's getting pretty dangerous. Just a guess. WoO is still posting about it and advertising it so I would say the plan is to race.

Horribly late call there. Dang... I'm sorry. I really thought there was no reason they couldn't run. Seems like a cop out similar to the 34 situation where the WoO pulled out with less than .1" of rain and didn't rain again until 10:30-11.

It's a conspiracy cancelling shows for no reason. The WoO is trying to ensure Sweet wins the championship so he doesn't get mad and put them out of business next year.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

I'm guessing more like expecting a poor crowd and only 17 cars showed up Is what I read.

Thats why they cancelled the 17 cars and that 35 mph winds became 75mph winds!!

Thanks. That made me laugh. What if the truth is, that Sweet is buying the WoO, but they don't want to announce anything until he wins the points title?

WRG has no interest whatsoever in selling off either series.

Can you imagine haveing a business that has to deal with whiney assed racers and know it all fans? Why would anyone with real money invest it into that type of business venture?

Everything gets sold eventually if the price is right and keeping People of the impression nothing is for sale keeps the price up. I'm just commenting on economics I have no clue who or what is for sale except that Flo has enough money to by a series L, shut it down, blame it on Larson and dethrone the WoO cuz I read it here.

I think that to a varying degree, every business has to deal with similar type problems.
