Since Port Royal cancelled, again, with a Friday forecast of partly sunny skies, a temperature of 63 degrees, and 18% chance of showers, will Lincoln now think about moving their 410 race to Friday with a much worse forecast for Saturday?

Are you sure the Sprints are cancelled. The modifieds are postponed but Port has the content locked on their site so some disisions may be being considered.

Ya know, you may be right. I hope so. But no, I have not seen anything regarding the 410s, but the fact that they didn't say they were still racing I went with the headline that said WEEKEND MOVED....

The full weekend at Port is cancelled, someone asked about Friday 410s:

Thx. C'mon Lincoln. Now do it, since Port appears to wanna close up their season.

Although it sounds great on paper, it would be a financial disaster for Lincoln to try and race on Friday on such short notice. It is not in the middle of the summer, but rather up against Friday night High School football. I would go, but there are not enough of us die hard fans to make it a success.

My guess is they lose less money when they don't race compared to when they do race.

Port only had the sprints for this weekend to help the modifieds draw a crowd as a dirt mod only show in Central Pa draws about 800 people. It was not intended to be a sprint car focused show and with all the racing they had last weekend, it would have no doubt been sparsely attended anyway.

The three day weekend was actually being priomoted by the Short Track Super Series / Brett Deyo. It was likely more their call than Port Royal's decision.

Exactly. Port Royal management had nothing to do with the decision to cancel, it was Brett Deyo's as he is leasing the track for the weekend. I do not blame him for pulling the plug with the iffy weather forecast. He was paying out alot of money.

Right. They'd probably do better moving it to Sunday afternoon with a 3pm start or something. Granted, a lot of people watch NFL but going up against high school football would be a big loser.
