Pete Grove. Scotty Thiel started the season in it on the All Stars tour, but they parted ways a little while back. I believe it's an Ohio -based car. Always been a beautiful car to me.

I agree, that car has always been good looking. It might just be cause I like blue though.

Scotty Thiel the Big Wheel is from Sheboygan. He has the 73 car back on the track. I'll never understand the logic of some owners and drivers . . . . . .

Pete Grove spends a lot of money to have his car out there. He gives a driver what he needs, it's really unfortunate he's taken cars home in a basket more times than most and he keeps coming back. Definitely one of the best looking cars.

I'm not sure he gives them everything they need. Zero consistency with that team. It has financial backing, yes. He's fired more talent than he's hired though. I believe Peck & Bayston were either the same season or back to back seasons, and look at em now. Big Wheel isn't bad by any means..give him a chance to grow and mature on the road, and who knows? Instead, he's rolling into Knoxville with Kraig Kinser.

Kraig is a prior Nationals winner, and I don't think he has totally forgot how to wheel a car with good equipment. I only question who he has as a crew chief in order to get a good setup and make adjustments in order to be competative.

There are probably 80 of the 100 plus cars that will be happy with last place in the last race
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Pete has his new shop right off of 77 in Strasburg OH, his main rig is Jimmy Niers old hauler and you can usually see a blue chassis or wing out laying aound. Say what you want about him but that Pete Grove Blue 70 is one of the sharpest cars around. I own a old chassis and wing from when Danny Holtgarver drove it and use it as a Iracing rig.
The best racetracks are in the middle of nowhere

Scotty Thiel is a very good driver. The ability of the crew to set up the car well is very important. So are driver passing cars skills and a little luck. The 70 car has had a number of drivers. Not sure who the crew for the 70 is or was. Owner is well known. It only took the Big Wheel a few races to get the 73 up front in the IRA 410 events. There are a number of great racers in the IRA 410 bunch. A few that can run with the All-Stars. Thiel drove a rent a racer (#39) to win the end of season 360 feature at Plymouth. There are some very good 360 drivers and cars he beat there. PDR has a regular weekly 360 class.
It will be interesting to see how KKinser does and if they stay together. Hopefully some of the IRA 410 racers will be in Knoxville.

Anybody know what Groves does for a living? Seems like the dude has had a car for quite some time. Not sure what kind of sucess the car has ever had but I do remeber Jacobs having an upset 3rd place run at the Nationals 20 or so years ago in the #70
