I am quite confused by the contradicting stance Dirtvision has taken with my subscription. Please let me know what you think...

Some background:
I have had the Dirtvision Fast Pass...Platinum... whatever... for 2 years. My renewal is coming up on August 11. In the past couple of months, I have receieved two emails stating I could get $50 off by renewing before August 1.

The email stated:

"Just a reminder that your DIRTVision Platinum FAST PASS has either expired or will expire sometime before or during this year's Knoxville Nationals. We don't want you to miss a single lap!

With the Month of Money in full swing and the Knoxville Nationals fast approaching, we've got an exclusive DIRTVision offer for you.

Renew your annual Platinum subscription before August 1st and save $50 using Promo Code:..."

I used the code and it took it, the price changed... but it still said my auto renewal would happen on August 11. Not finding a way to run my card then and nervous I would not get the deal, I emailed support for Dirtvision and I wanted to share the entire conversation.

I have copied it word for word below...

ME:
Hello,
I received the email with the discount code for $50 off. It says it will work if I use it before Aug. 1 but my subscription is set to renew on Aug. 11.
The code says it is active and will renew at the discounted price but will it?
Or will the code be invalid by then?

DIRTVISION:

Unfortunately, you will not be able to use the promo code. We apologize if you received that email in error.

ME:

Now I'm confused...
This is part of the email...

"Just a reminder that your DIRTVision Platinum FAST PASS has either expired or will expire sometime before or during this year's Knoxville Nationals. We don't want you to miss a single lap! How would I not be able to use the promo code?

DIRTVISION:

It's because your account does not expire before August 1.

ME:

So you’re telling me if I tried to renew today I wouldn’t be able to? Even if I canceled my subscription?

So DIRTVision sends me multiple emails and even has a ticker on the bottom of the Kings Royal urging me to renew my subscription before it runs out with a discount code but I can’t actually do that?

DIRTVISION:

Subscriptions cannot be renewed until they expire.

Am I the only one here that thinks this is insanity?

As a business... wouldn't it be beneficial to attempt to solve this problem? Do you not care that much?

I understood that the special offer ($50 discount) applies to those members that have a monthly subscription and wish to switch to an annul subscription avoiding purchasing the seperate feeds for 360 nationals and 410 nationals.

You are correct.  The $50 offer gives monthly subscribers some incentive to switch to an annual subscription.  There is a commercial on Dirtvision that explains this in detail.

I will say they are not a fountain of information in the email responses I got. I really still don't know what happened in mine. It would be really nice to be able to call a person and discuss things.

I will add that I enjoy dirtvision. Customer service is a little shakey.

Now this is the kind of response I would expect from a representative of the company! Answering a question with details that explain my misunderstanding.

While I appreciated the quick response I received from the rep, I would have preferred to have waited 12 hours and received a response like this.

Too bad you don't work for DV.

But hold on...

The email clearly states "Renew your annual Platinum subscription before August 1st"

Why would it say this if the monthly-to-annual-incentive were the case?

Can you see where this is confusing?

And I can't say that I've paid attention to the commercials... I generally look up when I hear JG

It seems that both Flo and DV have morons working in their customer service.  I messaged Flo asking why when I watch a replay of USAC Indiana Sprint week, thatthe audio and video are synched up, but when I switch to watch an All Star or IRA replay, the audio and video are way off.  The first response was that I am using a certain ROKU TV, and it is old so with no new updates, the technology just DOES this.  I replied back wondering why if I do not leave the platform, and switch what I am watching, this happens all the time.  It works correctly for USAC, but not others.  The second reply was from the same guy, John.  He said "It works for some, it doesn't work for others"  HUH?  I replied back that he must have had a bad day so I will dismiss his 'answer nothing' comment and thanks for NO HELP.  Finally some other dude replied and gave me an understandable answer, so what I am saying is, it depends on who answers your inquery, not all these customer service people have working brain cells
