I don't mind them? Double file is okay too. Depends on where my favorite driver is running at the time

I don't like them.  Can make for some crappy racing.  They often or regularly get spread out quickly.  Someone in 4th or 6th place might have a faster car than the car in front of them, but passing is tough when the car in front gets a 50 yard jump on the car behind him/her/it.

Double file restart suck. You weren't side by side before why then? Just gives free spots.

I think the first car to get the yellow should lead them to green with all the lapped cars mixed in as they were when the yellow came out. The leaders have to pass slower cars, second third etc should have to do the same.

Agree 100%. They are just a gimmick that usually benefit the cars starting in the preferred lane. You should have to pass the car in front of you to gain a position, not just get a better jump on a re-start. They also cause more wrecks. I wish sprint car racing would go back to single file for all re-starts.

So the guy in the lead then has a clear track and the guy in second has to wait until they get past the cone until he can pass the lapped car? The leader is long gone by then. They actually used to do that and it ruined many a good races. My preference for re-starts is single-file, lapped cars to the rear and get rid of the cone. Have a designated start area or a chalk line coming off turn 4.

a cone and a chalk line are the same thing in different shapes. 
they all have radios, start racing when the race director says GO into the ear piece. Middle of the back stretch for the tail is for me. I do t understand why they can't all gas it at the same time. Yes the leader can be far away before others even get to hammer it

I said the cone and chalk line have similar purposes. The concrete block would be more like a brain, serving similar purposes.   And sorry but your verbal spew toward me has no affect on my confidence or quality of life.  
 

Race directors do verbally communicate to the drivers and yes the purpose of the flag man has almost completely been removed due to advances in technology.  For the most part he is part of the tradition. He is not the only form of communication, nor is he the only set of eyes watching for violations. In many cases he is doing what others tell him mostly for the purpose of communicating to the fans not the drivers.
