From Troy Hennig:
PRESS RELEASE, SC Motorsports – Elk Grove, CA FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, Wednesday, December 5, 2007 MEDIA CONTACT: Troy Hennig [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>
_Tyler Walker Returns to the Golden State_
Los Angeles, CA driver Tyler Walker has signed on to drive the Scott Chastain owned NMI Industrial Contractors #24 for the entire 2008 season. The team (SC Motorsports) will compete at 50 races in this upcoming season with a focus on running every Golden State Series King of California event. They will also race at the Dirt Cup in Skagit, Knoxville Nationals, selected World of Outlaw events and special 360 races like the Fall Nationals in Chico and The Trophy Cup in Tulare.
On board as crew chief is Lee Lindgren of Elk Grove. Helping Lindgren is Jason Chastain. “Scott and I talked about who we wanted as a driver and Tyler's name kept coming up,” said Lindgren. “So I called Kaeding's and got his phone number and we talked for a while. I know Tyler is excited
about running with us next year and driving sprint cars again.”
A website devoted to the race team will be launched in the next few weeks. To learn more about NMI you can visit www.nmiindustrial.com

So this means Brandon Wimmer isn't driving the 24 next year or will they have 2 cars? Tyler Walker running the GSC should be interesting.
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

That is good news but I was hoping to see Wimmer run in NorCal again in 2008. I know the locals don't like him but he sure is fun to watch. He races like TK right on the edge. He tears up some cars but also wins some races.

i think what they meant was, does that punch a hole in the idea tyler may drive some races for KKR.
when i talked to joey and tyler at t-cup they both were saying KKR was going to run a part time car in 2008 and there was a good chance tyler would run it. but hey you never know. i want to know if the 24 team is going to run two cars this year.

I'm just happy to see him get a solid full time ride and that he will have the opportunity to run some big shows. Let him get a full year under his belt and then we can speculate. I'm sure Tyler is relieved to have signed this deal.

That sucks...I was hoping he would make it further east than Knoxville.
Running only 50 races, I'd say he has plenty of time for a part-time schedule with Kasey, or I hope he would anyway.

I will admit, Tyler Walker is a kickass driver. It actually makes me feel good to see him come back and try again.
Yes, I was one of the ones railing on him this summer.
