Thanks for clearing it up.  If the Outlaws would just let them run the High Limit Series, that would make you happy?  I don't know why I was thinking you had stated you thought the Outlaws should let their Platinum drivers race wherever they wanted.  I must have dreamt that.  So now you're going to set the parameters yourself by declaring the High Limit Series as the other series they should be able to run----------but no others.  Am I correct?

It is not about me being happy.  It is about the WRG doing what is right.

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Rico - 9 wins
Donny - 0 wins That is right the big fat zero!

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

No it is not.  HOW MANY TIMES DUE I HAVE TO SAY IT.  IT WILL NOT HURT THE WRG ONE LITTLE BIT IF THEY LET THERE TEAMS RACE ON A TUESDAY NIGHT.  NOT FINACIALLY ONE BIT.  SORRY BUT YOU ARE DEAD WRONG!!

The only thing that is hurt by them racing on a Tuesday night is they are hurting the PRIDE of the WRG!  That is the bottom line!

So if a hundred fans decide to go to a Tuesday show instead of an outlaw show how does that not hurt them?

He doesn't get it.  At all.

If a Pizza Hut employee takes the inventory, cooks the pizza at home and sells it down the street from Pizza Hut at 60% of the price, it's the same thing.

The WoO inventory is the teams.  You don't let your inventory be sold without you getting a cut of it.  That's dumb business.

Wait I just figured it out.  Let the teams race wherever they want.  But if they show up at your track, you have to pay WRG $10K per team for the privilege of having them race at your place.  We'll see what promoters want to pay to poach a product.

To add to Parnelli98 comment, say a local guy crashes on Tuesday and can not get it back together for the next WoO race close to his home. One less car plus his family and friends and crew who may have gone to watch him. WoO is doing what they should be doing. Four races is very gracious.

Highly doubtful.  If the outlaws are close and the High limit is closer.  I will probably go to both. Just saying.

There is nothing to get.  The outlaws are afraid of being shown up with a better show.  No money will be lost by WRG from a Tuesday night show.

Sounds like the WRG is afraid of something and it aint afraid of losing money.

Wasn't talking about you I said just a hundred fans that will choose one or the other. It will affect their bottom line Bozo.

It's ok, just say you don't understand at this point, it's embarrassing.

Casual fans just don't understand the complexities of the business side of racing, it's ok to have the feeble wish that every race car in the country should be at every race no matter what and the WoO should let all their CONTRACTED guys race at Podunk Speedway on Tuesday after a Saturday Show and then Wednesday at Titlick Raceway before the Friday WoO show.

That is the casual fan wish, so I understand why you think it's ok and wouldn't affect the WoO at all, you believing this way makes perfect sense and is not a suprise.

4 race grace is a compromise the WoO made for the teams, but they didn't have to and if they hadn't, the exact same drivers/teams would be racing with the WoO this year as will be with the 4 race grace.  Good on the WoO for making that compromise, even if some are too ignorant to understand it.

Better show? Come on Chris. You know better. It will be the same format that favors the better financed  teams. Except it wont have the big names. That's why the WoO pays those guys to show up.

I made this comparison earlier, and maybe it wasn't clear enough. The All Stars, High Limit, and Woo can pool from the same group of guys and use the exact same cars.

Now if my employer says " you must sign this non compete clause before we employ you". At that point in time I have the right to walk away and find a different job. It's your choice.

If I go back to my employer and say " I want to work for this other company that does the same thing as you, just on a different day, where the wages are comparable" I'm guessing that will not go over well for the majority of the people in that boat.

The WRG and specifically the WOO has even gone above and beyond this scenario and said  You can still race with the WOO, and collect the race winnings, but for those teams who are loyal to the WOO, keep in mind, who willingly sign a contract, "we're going to give those guys a bonus during the year and at the end of the year."  And on top of that, you can run (4) races through out the year for another employer, with ZERO penalty. ZERO, you can still collect travel money, and points money at the end of the year.

Again, any driver can run every single race and collect every single purse they run.

I wonder why other major league sports don't allow their athletes to go play for other leagues during the week?

You won't go to any of them, you'll watch them from home and then post some stupid comments.

At first glance, I wish everybody could race everywhere.

But the points about WoO protecting their brand make perfect sense too.....

This article sheds some light on the subject..... Marks & Rico are gonna run full time with High Limit. Then they can pick & choose WoO events. Seems to me that is a definite threat to WoO & a great plan for teams. They can save $$ on travel and less wear & tear on cars.... but no Tow Money from Outlaws. Plus, bigger $$ against easier competition maybe? Perfect cherry picking opportunity, right?

By the way, whats the Allstar rule?

I don't have a dog in this fight, just hope it works out best for everyone involved: https://speedsportinsider.memberful.com/posts/15179

leagues do need to protect their teams to help their brand.  they had the president of the woo on a podcast and that's essentially what he said.

i've decided to not go to races because i just saw a certain driver at another race. larson would be the best example.  if i could see brad sweet or sheldon at a random pa race...i might not show up at the upcoming outlaw show which is more expensive...and that's bad for outlaw business.  the theory of a true outlaw schedule is great for the teams...just not realistic for a series that's trying to make money as well.  series have a responsiblity to share revenue equally to make following their schedule the better value.

No way that would happen.  Not too many people are going to go to a Tuesday night show.  A lot more people will be at the outlaw show  on the weekend than a Tuesday show.  Your logic is B.S.

What? You mean not too many people are gonna go see Larson and the others committed to the series? Wow you are a special kind of stupid.

Schatz confirmed.

Another team agreeing with running 4 non WoO races to get those excellent perks.  Guess the perks are not as stupid for the business side of the teams as some "fans" think after all.  They all coming back and adding one of the best of the true outlaws from the last few years in Scelzi.  Couch racers are funny.
