This race is two days after the High Limit Series race at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois, only 80 miles away. Instead of piggybacking on an Outlaw race, they are hooking on to a $ 23,000-to-win race.

....and people wondered why the WOO has restrictions on their platium members......
If a promoter can have a non sanctioned race and get the same car count as a sanctioned race, why would he ever pay the sanction fee?

100% the reason why and it is warranted. Some people have zero business sense.

Granite City on a Wednesday night with High Limit will be loaded. Obviously no one running for points with All-Stars or WoO can come to Farmington
Guys running for points at Knoxville won't, neither Penn guys who might come out for High Limit at Granite
Maybe a Brian Brown? Genneten? There will be a few maybe but not much. I hope it's a massively successful weekend. Just wouldn't want fans to have unrealistic expectations of who will be there.
They will have a good car count, but no where near the caliber of cars that will be at Granite for High Limit. These days unless you are paying an exorborant amount of money you just are going to get the bigger names without sanctioning one of the top national series. It's the promoters money and risk and they have their reasons, so we have to respec that.

We need more of these types of shows. I also hope it's a successful weekend with some big names joining the show.

One was trucking and the other is car parts.
I don't care a Tuesday night series WILL NOT hurt the outlaws in any form. If you guys want to think that you can be WRONG!
Let the guys race that want to race. Don't tell them they can't race more than 4 times. That is B.S.

Tracks being able to get them without paying the fees means less tracks scheduling them means not enough money to keep the points fund and bonuses which means less outlaws and THATS how it folds, but it's easy to have the Fan take instead of the Series take, the fan take is simple to understand.

Total B.S. If there were more than 12 of these races each year. Then maybe - but not with only 12 races a year.

Sorry, but armyduke is correct. It's a double edge sword.
Can I buy your car parts without the extended warranty, wait until it breaks and then buy warranty? Same thing. You want the cake and eat it too (top level teams to race without paying sanction fees).
As a fan I always want to see as many cars and top level as possible.
I have been an official with a travelling series where if it rained out I didn't get paid (was enough to hopefully cover gas to the track in first place). Got the priveldge to drive back to the track on make up date or spend money on hotel and didn't get re-imbursed - just original pay if we ran. At least the Outlaws provide those teams who commit to them get some compensation or tow money in those situations. In either case, I accepted the rules to work event, just as teams select what races/series to run or not.
I think there is a happy medium they (outlaws and teams) are working out. No one will be completely happy - and that will be best solution.

They can run anywhere they want, and however many times they want. Just not after signing to be a platinum member.

You're wrong! It is not the same thing as parts. It will NOT hurt the outlaws one little bit.

Am I correct in believing that the All Stars can race any where any time as long as they attend their events on the schedule?
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

There are times the All Stars will put a block on their teams participating at an event they feel a track is trying to lure their teams in without paying a sanctioning fee to make it a All Star show. Usually 1-2 times a year.
