As you may or may not have heard, Perris Auto Speedway has come under fire. To hear the details, promoter Don Kazarian will be on the radio this afternoon "The Racer Radio Show" this afternoon to discuss #saveperris and what everyone can do to help. The show airs from 3:00 to 4:00 PM PDT and you can listen live online at www.kcbq.com or listen live on your radio if you are in the San Diego area at 1170 AM. Don is coming on at 3:45 (other PAS news about last night's race and the upcoming September races will be on starting at 3:30). Don's message is very important so if you have the time, please listen inland please share this post.
You can also check out the Perris Auto Speedway pages on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. And the website as well at www.perrisautospeedway.com. Even if you are not a local fan of the track, please go there and share the posts regarding #saveperris on your social media and call the officials listed to show your support. Thank you!

I'm not sure what this is about, but with California moving to ban the sale of gas-powered cars in the very near future, how much farther behind will a full ban on racing be? Scary crap. The electric race car discussion we all had may be here quicker than we think.
For the record, I do not support California's thought process and I'm worried that my state may follow suit.

California was a bucket list state of mine for a lot of years. Wanted to tow the street rod out and drive up the coast from San Diego. There views and what's taken place out there in the last 5 yrs have had me scratch that off my list. Perris was a stop, but so was the greatest dirt track the state ever had, Ascot. O well, cruising the coast is always a good time.

Scott - Tell us more. Is the gov doing an eminent domain thing with the PAS? I read up a bit on this but I don't quite understand what is happening. Best I can figure is they want the PAS for the emergency release facility.
