This year’s event will be a two day show Sept. 30 and Oct 1 featuring RaceSaver sprints and Sport-Mods.
The event will use the IMCA RaceSaver rules package and a draw/redraw for heat race lineups. Each driver will run two heat races and accumulate passing points based off the ACSC Passing Point Table. The Top-12 in passing points will be locked into Saturday night’s $10,000 to win, $400 to start A-Feature. There will be over $5,000 in awards and contingencies spread across both nights.
Friday Sep. 30 will headline heat races. Racing starts at 8pm
Saturday Oct 1 will headline the C, B, and A-features. Racing starts at 7pm
Entry fee is $100 if received by Sep 10. Any entry forms received after Sep 10 will be $150. Entry forms for the event are available now on the race website.
Sep 30, there will be a Children’s Candy Dash at intermission, and a Pit Crew Challenge after the heat races as teams will compete for a Pit Boss Fire Pit/Grill. Details are on the race website. There will also be a restored Lyndon Moss Late Model on display.
Oct 1 will be the Saldana Racing Oil Tanks Kids Kool Helmet contest. Drivers will earn $125, $75, $50 for the Top 3 helmet designs voted on by children 16 and under. Intermission will feature the annual Children’s Sack Races.
The Amarillo Motorsports Hall of Fame and Museum will also be having activities for the fans.
The event will be live streamed both nights on FloRacing.
Former WoO driver, Danny Wood from Edmund, OK edged Jett Hayes and John Carney II for the title and a $15,000 pay day in 2021.
