Hey everybody,
I have only had the pleasure of attending one Chili Bowl (in 2004) with my "racing buddy", my father, and it was great. My father passed away in March of 2006, and I have not had the desire to go to any races since then. However, I have finally decided to get back into the sport that I love, and attend the 2008 Chili Bowl. I live in Austin, TX and it is just about a 10 hour drive to Tulsa, so it should be a good trip for me. The only problem is that I do not already have the tickets, so I would like to purchase a set of four (or five) tickets for Wed through Sat nights (I can't go to the Tues night show as work won't let me). I don't really care where I sit, so any set of tickets would do just fine. Please let me know if one of you fine folks here on Hoseheads has a set of tickets that you would consider parting with. I don't mind paying more than face value, but I really couldn't afford scalpers' rates. Please help me in this request... I really enjoyed the Chili Bowl, and vowed to return again someday. I hope that this year will be that "someday".

HEYYYYYYYYY.........i got first dibs!!! Just kidding man, i have had the word out for a couple weeks now that i am needing 2 sets of tickets, with no luck so far. Like you i am not desperate enough to pay scalper prices on ebay and such (yet), and i think some may be shying away from my requests because they think i am a scalper just trying to get my hands on more tickets. I went as far as to post on several boards that i would pay for tickets in advance and they could hold onto them and we could walk through the gate hand iin hand. Several people have let me know there is no need to panic yet, and actually just here recently ive had a couple promising leads. Let me know if you run across some and i will do the same for you. As of this evening, I know where there are Wed. , Thurs. tickets. Face value
