I had a blurb pop up on my phone that said that drivers from the PA Posse have won a total of 300 World of Outlaw races. That's pretty impressive. Compare that to 300+ wins for only two North Dakota drivers. Looks like ND beats PA.

Yup, ND, the hot bed for sprints. And Saskatchewan is the new Western Pennsylvania.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Not my team. I'm in the other Dakota. I should look and see how many from our state have WoO wins. Doug Wolfgang-yes, Justin Hendersen-maybe? It gets a little thin after that. wink

Oops....

I've been to every state but Hawaii & N. Dakota, not sure about Maine.....Might have driven across the line while visting a buddy in New Hampshire just to say I've been there, don't recall (probably gonna fix that this summer)

I bet Wolfie has more wins in Pa. than ALL the Pa. drivers have in N. Dakota!

I may go to my grave never having visited your lovely state.... wink

I'm not I understand 100% your geography there Lou... I'm in South Dakota, the one you apparently have been to.

It looks like Dusty Zomer was the other WoO winner from SD

I find this all to be silly anyways.  Very few of these wins came from PA Posse while they were PA Posse.  The vast majority of these 300 wins came when these drivers were full time Outlaws, driving for a full-time Outlaw teams.

Also Hodnett, while he resided in PA for many years is "from" Tennessee. And Tim Shaffer has never been Posse.

Me thinks some people are a little jelly that they don't live in Posse Land.

The category is "drivers from Pa", so I no issue including Shaffer and Lynch. Yes Hodnett was from Tenn  it the majority of his outlaw wins came while residing in Pa. My takeaway from this exercise is the number of true "local posse" drivers with outlaw wins. 26 (if I counted correctly)is a pretty impressive number.

"Drivers from PA" is WAY different than "300 Posse wins"-----which is how this thread started.  That is what I was referring to.

And, for anyone who thinks people are jealous of those in Posseland------ I am very jealous I don't have all of those tracks, teams, and drivers at my doorstep.  But, that doesn't change the fact that true Posse teams have won a very, very small percentage of WoO events, so having it stated in that manner, is very misleading.

I see 87 that there is no arguement about. That does not count any  of Bobby Allen's, 30 Stevie Smith's, 60 Logan Shuchart's 30,Keith Kauffman's 9,Cody Darrah's 8,Brent Mark's 7,  Doug Wolfgang's , Gregg Hodnett's. We will throw out all of Wolfgang's and Hodnett's. I know many of those other wins came when they were not outlaw members.

Wait, where's Minot?

See, I don't know much about the area!

Went there in the summer of 1969, Badlands, Mt.Rushmore..... hitch hiking. But we got a ride from Westchester County, just north of NYC, all the way toYellowstone! Smile

Those were the days....Smile

Minot is in the central part of Lesser Dakota, way up north, about 50 miles from Canada.

Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands and the Black Hills are to the south, in Greater Dakota. Smile

Minot is currently having a blizzard, 16 degrres, 45 mph winds, and 20-30 inches of snow over a 3-day period. But, that'll get better once spring starts in about mid-June.

That is impressive honestly. The depth of talent in Central PA has always been strong.

I agree. When I looked at the all time winner's list, the number of drivers from Pennsylvania (and that area) is pretty impressive. A trend I noticed is that a lot of those wins were in the past. California drivers look like the future.

Also from that list:

Logan Schuchart is tied with his grandfather Bobby Allen with 30 wins.

Winners were from 25 states and 2 foreign countries.

There were 2 Canadian winners.

A lot of Pa. wins may have been in the past but  I see 12 active drivers on that list including some pretty young ones. There are also some young guys here who will add their name to that list.

"Logan Schuchart is tied with his grandfather Bobby Allen with 30 wins."

Wow, considering Bobby raced for years & Logan is still young!

Yeah I figured it had to be at least 300. The Posse has owned the outlaws since 1978. wink
