Just wanted to drop a quick line to everyone on the hoseheads sprint forum:
As the season is starting to come to an end, I just wanted to commend you all for keeping this forum pretty clean this year.
There are a few hiccups here and there, but this has by far been the most trouble-free season since I've been a moderator - without any question at all.
...especially in light of some of the strife we've faced the past two seasons coping with the pandemic.
Thanks again & stay safe!
-Darin

Whats the story behind the Grave Digger car?
His main truck shop is near Kitty Hawk and down the road from Dixieland Speedway in Elizabeth City, NC which host a lot of Virginia Sprint Series races. The original racesaver series.
Mom and dad went to Dennis Anderson's restaurant beside the shop and had breakfast with Dennis randomly for an hour. Basically the John Force of Monster Trucks. Cool place to visit if you ever come to the Outer Banks.

I was a little slow to pick up on the humor of things here. I didn't realize that Claud Estes was the one that had the GraveDigger scheme. This is the perfect scheme for a guy that owns a funeral home.

I have one. There are certain people I just plain ignore. Works pretty good, actually.

I think and probably Dmantx can correct me if I am wrong it was a car that was at the Texas Dirt track this weekend. Saw several pictures on Facebook this weekend of many drivers sporting nascar themed paint schemes. I think Roger Crockett won it with a Jimmie Johnson Lowes 48 tribute scheme. I saw some other drivers had a 3 GM Goodwrench theme and a Jeff Gordon old school rainbow theme as well. All of them looked pretty good and also the one above the Grave Digger theme similar to what Harvick ran at Nashville this year.
I have been to the main Grave Digger shop a few times there near Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills. Dennis was not there but Gary Porter was who drove the Carolina Crusher back in the day and talked to my son and I for a little while. Monster Trucks were actually the first form of motorsports I was exposed too and I usually try to get to a couple independent shows throughout the year. Seeing all of the older versions of the Grave Digger was really cool as well. If only those trucks could talk I cannot imagine some of the stories they could tell.

There's been talk for quite some time of upgrading the forum format, and I think others on this board would like that function as well.
I'll make sure to pass that along to the person that handles the programming. |

And since that picture has sparked some interest, here's another great throwback wrap by Junior Jenkins.
By fan vote, he ended up garnering the 2nd highest amount, and collected $1,000 for his efforts.
Super cool to see him team up with Al from The Shop to create/execute this design for the car...and to be rewarded for their efforts.
(The top voted car ended up being a Wrangler Jeans crate model, collecting $5,000.)

Darin, a option to "like" or "dislike" a post (similar to what Indiana Open Wheel has) would be a nice feature to add as well. Thanks.

God forbid you try to offer a suggestion for an addition. Didn't realize I had to run mine through you first. IOW is hardly Facebook. SMH.

I agree this isn't facebook. Just ignore the people you don't want to see post from. It is that easy. But some don't understand that you can ignore. I do it all the time with the lame stream media! It is easier than you think.

Click on his name on a thread and it should jump to a window giving you an option to send him an e-mail. Since he's a moderator, a quicker route might be to click his name right below where you click to sign in.
