I got a letter from the track today about renewing my 2022 Nats tickets.   I've been sitting on the back straight for several years, but looking to change.   How high do you have to sit on the front straight to be able to see the whole track?    Is there a no alcohol section on the front straight?   Seems like I remember someone mentioning that on another thread.

If you like your seats on the backstretch, stay there.  We moved to the front a few years ago and really missed it.

The no Alcohol section does not apply to the Nationals

May very well do that.    We do like the seats.    We typically park on the south side of the track though.   Wouldn't be a big deal but one of my guys is having trouble doing that much walking.  May be easier to find another place to park.   The Chamber of Commerce parking at Young's Park took forever exiting after the races.   In years past we could just cut through the VA facility and get out.

That's a legit reason to switch.  Parking on the backstretch isn't super close anywhere.  The Catholic church on Larson St. is a good place to park, but still a bit of a hike.

With no haulers allowed in the infield you can go down as low as rows 5-8 and still have a good view of everything.

We always sit in sections K or L.  You'll still lose them in the bottom of 2 as high up as rows 12 or 13.

Agreed. You see 95% of the track as low as row 10, but there is a small part of turn 2 that is blocked by a pit building if you sit lower than row 14 (approximate). You see the wings but not the rest of the cars. If that bothers you like it does others, make sure you're higher than that.

We sat on the Front for years, Then switched over the the Back about 10 years ago... Love it back there. But I'm also on the Frontstretch every other race of the year so it's a nice change.

There is a walk through gate over in the NW corner of the track/fairgrounds that leads right across from St. Anthony's Catholic Church, as mentioned above) right on Larson Street outside of turn 3.   Walk through gate I believe is at the propery of 1506 W Larson.  Usually can't see it with all the haulers over there, but still usable.

The pitch change to the front grandstands begins on row 21, I always like to sit between rows 22-25 because of that: as that difference in pitch allows you to see over other fans directly ahead of you better.

But I don't like sitting higher than that, as to me it's to far away from the track, and there are also the supports for the skyboxes that come into play.

And on a sidenote, I avoid sitting on the aisles around row 19-21, as with that pitch change, there can be occasions where fans stumble into the occupants of those seats. (and not just a function of alcohol consumption, LOL)
