Haven't seen anything posted about this race yet and it's honestly my favorite sprint car race (behind the nationals). The IRA, Cedar Lake Speedway, and the Richert family do an excellent job of going all out to put on one of the best sprint car shows in the midwest. Anyone know if there will be any travelers attending this show? It's a minimum of $5,000 to win plus the whatever else that gets donated to the purse. I believe the Midwest 360 power series will be there along with the wingless sprints! So it should be an excellent show for all you sprint car fans!

I am going this Saturday for only my second live race of the season. It will be fun to see some familiar faces again. I hate to speculate on car counts but we always get enough to put on a good show.

Sounds like a few of the wingless car from Cedar Lake are going run with USAC at Husets I haven't heard if anyone else is going to take the wings off and run at Husets or not Glen Murra

USAC runs 410's and only two or three have experience and access to the bigger motors. Cam for sure and possibly one or tso more but some of the northern cars will be there so there will be plenty of cars. I got that in a conversation with GRP and he is on top of those details.

I have seen that the Richert family raised 13K of extra money for the drivers. Not sure how that is distributed other than the IRA says their race is 5K to win and 500 to start.. I would be more than happy with just enough cars to make a feature in each class. If I had to predict......

This will be my second year sponsoring a bonus for the Traditional Sprints. I decided how much and who will receive it and I think that is what a lot of contributors are doing. They announce the contributors and give a total but we can sponsor a bonus however we want and coordinate with the Richert family. They may have organized some lap money but we didn't discuss that so I'm not sure what all they have going on.

I made the last minute decision to attend this event and glad I did. Awesome night of racing from all 3 classes. Henderson and Tatnell were the stars of the night and put on a great show.
360 class - Henderson wins, Tatnell 2nd.
410 class - Tatnell wins, Henderson 2nd
In addition, the racing throughout the pack was really good. Wish I would have known there was a chance to win a 2-seater wingless ride driven by JR-JR. He had that thing wound up pretty good and sideways through the turns. Looked like a blast.
My first time visiting Cedar Lake Speedway and will definitely be back!

finally got a chance to watch the floracing coverage of this race and it looked to be a great night of racing. I will say that the richert family goes all out and makes this event an awesome race. as for the overall car counts, the 410s were what i expected and got a healthy car count, 360s really shocked me to see thirty of them, and the wingless seemed a little light but still had a great field overall. the racing itself was good and it was super interesting to see the henderson vs tatnell battle play out in both the 360s and 410s. the 360 and 410 features were great. Overall, a looked to be a great night of racing. Absolutely love what they do for this event!
