Yes they did, I have one in my curio cabinet with all my diecast cars. Can't remember the exact story but it was the 75th?? anniversary of DC Comics (possibly Marvel comics) sponsored a car in 6 or 7 racing series and they had diecasts made from each major racing series. A Dale Earnhardt Superman car, John Force Funny Car, a motorcycle, Indy car, top fuel NHRA car, etc, can't remember the drivers of all those Superman cars or all the racing series. And they were all metal diecast, with the sprint cars having metal top wing and metal front wing like they used to do, not the plastic wings they've been making for years and years since..

Yes I was wrong, all my winged sprint cars are 1/18th, as is the Superman car. Age doesn't help your memory--when I saw the post I thought 1/24th was the largest--wrong wrong wrong.. I'm not sure if there was a 1/24th Superman sprint but don't think so, but only 14 of my winged sprint cars have metal top and front wings. And you don't have to look very close to see that the 1/18th metal wings are larger than the 1/18th plastic wings, probably 15%+ larger. Not sure why they did this but a stupid move by the manufacturer. Who knows. Sorry for the wrong info in my first post.
