I was under the impression this was going to be on Television. When I search CBS Sports on Saturday it is Bull Riding!!! Is this show live or not?

12 race cars with 6 of those driven by people that haven't been competitive in anything for the last 10 years. Sounds exciting

My thoughts exactly, and as much as I like Smoke I'm not interested at all. I saw the finishing order of the first race and didn't know who two of them were to begin with. Greg Biffle? Willy T Ribbs? Definetly nothing there that would make me wanna watch.

Obviously a bunch of newbies. Ever heard of Helio Castroneves? He just won the Indy 500 for the 4th time. Tony Kanaan is no slouch as well. Ever hear of IROC? Obviously not - a really great series and the SRX is dupicating this but including dirt. It has to be a fun deal for the former big stars of racing.... and some might just surprise you. I was more impressed with Biffle last Sat. than I was when he was racing and winning. I still remember a young Steve Kinser winning one of the IROC races,. Dale Earnhart (.Sr.) was one of Steve's mentors and Dale was as happy as Steve was with his win. This Sat. should be much better since it is on dirt and has more chances of passing. Also - a real challenge to many of these drivers who have never raced on dirt. I loved the interview with Michael Waltrip last Sat. Open your mind and enjoy.

Mikey Waltrip over 700 career Cup series starts 4 wins. Thats a true "Superstar of Racing". Only thing he's famous for is running his mouth.

I bet the sprint car drivers are happy to be the "support" class tonight. Didn't watch the srx race and probably won't.

First race had well over a million people tune in, can't be that uninteresting. Also the racing was pretty damn good.

I watched part of it and they did their best to make it interesting.I beleive the cars did reach 100MPH but thats way too slow on a big track like Knoxville. The drivers seemed to have fun. They were similar to the IMCA stock cars and not even close to the the show a late model could provide. I did watch the 410s and Kerry was clearly the class of the field.

It was shitty racing but that's par for the course with these types of things. I would say that a good thing that came out of it was that Knoxville looked really good on TV. It looked like a big league facility and was nice to see it get some network TV exposure.

Boy Brownie had a rough go at it. He had 6 guys stacked up behind him in the first heat and was sitting backwards about 3 other times throughout the night. (One or two may not have been his fault). It shows how hard it is to pass in these cars while racing on dirt. I love Smoke, Ray Evernham and all those badass guys involved but this thing has been a flop imo. I just kept thinking.... hurry up get done so they can re-work the track for the sprints. Judging from social media everyone else in attendance was thinking the same thing. Sprint Cars are awesome.

I went back and tried to watch one of the heat races on YouTube. I was good for about 3 laps, but I just couldn't get into it. While I have no interest whatsoever in watching it, I wish Smoke success with it just because it pissed NASCAR off when he started it.

It kept me entertained while I watched other stuff at the same time. Something I wouldn't sit down on the couch and watch all evening though. But I support the series and hope they can find traction to be bigger, nothing wrong with more racing on TV.

Snooze fest for sure. Especially when Bloomquist couldnt make his SRX Nascrap car work on a favorite track.

Yup, and his first Daytona 500 win Dale sr died blocking for him & Dale jr pushed him across the finish line without even attempting to pass to win it himself. I'd really brag about that win!
