Any chance now that Gossage is out, that this dirt track can be used for a big sprint car event? It's a 9000 seat grandstand in a big market.

I'm hoping so. This is a very under utilized facility, and it's an awesome facility. Eventually Devils Bowl will be going away so I've heard, so this facility could keep the WoO and other organizations coming through North Texas. I like that it's a 4/10 mile which is comparable to Devils Bowl.

I know one change they made in track prep was having Lanny Ross Edwards do it. Not sure if that's still the case or not.

Sorry for the delayed response to your questions, it's been kind of crazy. But here's top-line answers/news:
-www.raceXR.com is handling the entire event - track surface and all. Extremely well qualified staff based out of MN, TX and IA primarily.
-this is around the 10th event I've been involved with at the Dirt Track, and all is looking great for this show. Biggest field of Texas-based sprint drivers ever to assemble at TMS Dirt Track history. Lots and lots of great teams that can win - - - and put on an incredible show for the fans.
-throw in the 'Bandits rules on top of the drivers entered in to the event, and the stage is set for sprint car racing like no one has ever seen there. Don't miss it!
-weather looks great (which has been 98% of the issue everywhere)
-there will be a link on www.raceXR.com to purchase PPV
-Tickets are literally cheap for this event. Adults can get advanced tickets for $22.50 (and fee-free), again, at the same link. No parking fee for stands or fans.
-Sprint car entries are now capped off. There's one more added since this original post went out, Dalton Stevens 99x.
-And yes, XR has a bunch of race dates scheduled at TMS the balance of this season- details are at their link.
Summary: come see this sprint car event and I can guarantee you one thing, it won't be the last of its kind at TMS's Dirt Track!

Its a nice track and facilities, its a shame it sat there unused, or used very little, for many years. I went to a WoO race there that was so many years ago I can't even remember when it was
