Donnie was winning SO OFTEN in past years that I used to root against him. He was killing the field of drivers.
Now I find myself rooting FOR HIM. What happened to the #15?

Those things are definitely factors. And age catches up to everybody.

he'll probably sweep the weekend. lately every time somebody starts asking "what happened too _____?" that guy wins. lucas wolfe and brent marks are the two most recent examples.
i'm still surprised for some reason about the focus on winning...winning now...and winning a lot. schatz just won the national open which wasn't too long ago.

If not for that caution the #15 might have won it last night. He was dogging Sweet when the "inadvertent caution" flew. It seemed like Donny needed a couple laps to setup the pass on that tight little track but he was deinately on the move.

Agreed. I was hoping he was gonna pull it off. Oh well. The season is in its infancy so he has plenty of time to get wins and move up in the standings. But in previous years he was winning race after race after race. Now he's a contender, a threat, but not necessarily the favorite.

22 chevys behind Donny at both Bristol and Jacksonville. Is that falling off? If he did that all season he would be WOO champ.

The samne thing that happened to Steve Kinser and countless others. They were technologicly better than others for a long time ane the others caught up. His age caught up with him and the young kids are kicking his old ass. I say this though, he's still pretty damm good.
