I'm looking for suggestions on where to camp at Bristol for the WoO race. I was there the last time they had dirt on, but now things have really changed.

I know a couple friends who used to go down there for the night race when it was a sellout.  They used to tell stories about some farm land turned campground across the road from the track.  I want to say that they referred to the place as "Farmer Bob's camping but that may not have been the official name.  The thing that stands out was cooler races and mayhem but I am certain that those were just some of the typical rowdies found at the fringes of every campground.

i'll preface this by saying i am by no means a camping expert and this is coming up on 10 years ago...but we used earhart campground for the bristol night race and it was great.  it was a short walk to the track and showers were fine.  there aren't many good hotel options that i could find so we camped out of necessity in a tent.

highly recommend eating at ridgewood bbq in bluff city, tn.  they're know for the bbq and blue cheese and crackers.  it's probably not more than about 15 minutes from the track.

I know that. I was looking for more personal opinions and experiences. Sorry to waste your time.
