What’s going on with the WOO at the Las Vegas dirt track. In the past the WOO run races on Wednesday and Thursday nights during the 1st NASCAR weekend. Last year no WOO races scheduled at all and this coming 2021 year, the WOO are scheduled fior one Thursday night show only. What’s going on?

I think I remember hearing that the WoO promotes that deal on their own and the Wed night races didn't do as well.
For whatever reason they can't run the dirt track while they are racing at the big track, so a Thurs/Fri double, which makes perfect sense to most, doesn't work logistically.

As cool as the Vegas race is, the WoO race there seems to be pretty lackluster. As soon as the sun goes down and the wind picks up its miserable to sit in the stands. Many fans are were there for the Nascar weekend and took a chance to go to the dirt track, the late night and cold temperatures leave a bad taste in the mouths of many even if the race is great.

The wednesday show was always a gamble.
They would need to double down on the track surface for 2 nights which was always a crapshoot.
There were too many loose slots in the pits.

How would you say that in Wyoming?
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Dirt track in the middle of the dessert and it gets cold and windy at night. HUH, who would have ever thought that could happen .

A dirt track in the middle of a dessert sounds gross. No wonder the WoO only does it once a year.

I have attended the two night (Wednesday & Thursday) WOO shows at the Las Vegas dirt track probably for at least 12 years in a row until suddenly there was no WOO race at all this 2020 Spring. I guess this regular two night show of the past is no longer. I agree you had to dress in winter attire because it could really be cold some nights in the grand stands.

No WoO race during the May weekend in Charlotte, after trying to expand to a 2 day weekend there.
Nothing at Las Vegas or Texas dirt tracks.
Seems somebodys priorities have changed, wherher it be the nascar tracks or the WRG, who knows..

I was surprised to see that too, but after the track conditions debacle at Charlotte, perhaps that's the reason. Better for them to be in Indiana on Memorial Day weekend anyway.
Even better would be for them to drop the October Port race and sanction the Weikert memorial that weekend.

This thread was supposed to be about WOO races at the Las Vegas dirt track - not about Charlotte. How did the thread drift off topic?

Thread drift- when people run out of things to say about a topic but have something to say about a similar or related topic.

I too have been to the WoO races/race several times (not recently though) and if the wind is from the North as usual, it is brutally cold to sit in the stands at Vegas. I don't care how many clothes you wear, its actually impossible to be comfortable unless the wind is from a different direction.
Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

A side benefit of the past WOO races at Las Vegas were the F-16 fighters taking off and landing at the nearby Nellis Air Force base.
