Interesting. I know one of Dave Abreu's more ambitious plans for Calistoga Speedway when he did all the improvements to the place 100% at his expense was to land a Nascar truck race there at some point in the future.

First thing I thought when I heard this was I hope one of these heavy assed trucks doesn't tear down that iconic Knoxville guard rail wall.

There have been some trucks from the DesMoines area that were regulars at the State Fairgrond tracks before it was closed that raced at Knoxville a few times.Moyer Chevrolet might have been one of their title sponsers and they would be faster probably than the Nascar trucks seems like their lap times were around 23 seconds which is slow at Knoxville. The late models actually put on a good show and modified have had specials there but plenty big.It will bring the Nascar fans but they would be much better at one of Iowas great 1/4 mile tracks such as Boone or,Marshalltown but will be a moneymaker for Knoxville.

Great can't wait to see slow heavy fendered vehicles go about 5 seconds slower a lap than sprint cars around a dried up track driven by rich rent a ride drivers.
