Anybody else watching this joke of a race? Did it rain or did they just over water the track? Either way it seems like any sane promoter would take 30 minutes and blade it off before the features. Ruttiest, $h!ttiest track I have seen in a long time. Piles of wrecked cars. Nice "tribute".

I watched the 410 feature on TV and yes that was a cowboy up track, I see a lot of that in Cali. I don't own a car or drive one but I like seeing drivers manhandle their cars on rough tracks. Seem like a few of them knew how to drive that track though.
What will we ever do, tracks are slick and dusty in the east and rough and choppy out west. I'll take the rough and choppy being a spectator

Yes, it rained in Stockton 7 months ago. LOL
Stockton has been like that for the last six or seven years now. Either rutted up or a dust bowl, they just can't seem to get it right race to race.

I'm not a professional track prep person; (as I'm sure most of us on here aren't) however I'm sure that it didn't help that the event was the first in 6-7 months on the track. So getting it right was probably a bit tougher than usual. Don't know, guessing?

Finally had time to watch the 360 feature and the track did seem rougher during that feature than the 410 A main... Damn, a push truck even broke an axle. Thanks to the car owners for footin the bills and the drivers that braved the elements. Congrats to the teams that knew what they were doing and had a bit of luck on their side. I bet guys like Hewitt and McSpadden wouldn't have minded that suface, never seen GP race but he seemed like a bad ass that probably wouldn't have cared either.

Endless yellow flags aren't very entertaining. I went to Trophy Cup at Tulare a few years ago, all excited about full inversion format. Cars were even crashing in hot laps, lots of them, all on the same turn, Next nite, same thing, different turn. WAY too many yellows during the racing. A trip to California is always fun, but the racing was a disappointment...

The idea that drivers prove their manhood by racing in those kinds of conditions is dated at best. When only seven cars finish a Feature it ought to be obvious that it has nothing to do with driver skills or gonads but is more indicative of the car owners willingness to risk trashing a car due to poor track conditions. Austin McCarl is a capable driver here in the Midwest. When he went over all by himself I switched to Netflix.

I was wonce told by one of the greatest pa posse guys. When the tracks got holes in it that can swallow up your car every dam one of us knows what's about to happen but yet that grader sits there and nobody can run it.

If you watch the replay you will see a big, beautiful grader sitting in the infield ready to go. Maybe it had a flat or mechanical issue. Or maybe nobody cared that drivers were in danger and cars were getting trashed left and right.

I remember being at the old Sharon Nationals and the drivers demanded work to be done to the track , it happend. My ole fav Keith Kauffman was was one of the drivers that helped get results. I still believe if a driver thinks the track is unsafe he should probably sit that one out. I used to race at a little track in PA and the ambulance was a creepy old deal from the 60's I didn't know if that thing would even start or have anything in it, it did concern me but I still wanted to race. I told my buddy if something happens to load me into my truck and get me somewhere. I did not want to be put in that ambulance. Eveybody has choices.
