Good young driver with a solid team. Three straight All Star Championships and gonna take on the revolving door. What a dumb move for his career. Give him 6 monthes before Roth changes his mind. Sad to think what he is giving up, to be unemployed in no time. Hope he proves me wrong.

What is he giving up ? Do you think he's leaving BRM on his own accord ? If everything is shaved peaches on the team he would be out of his mind to walk. If the shaved peaches are smelling fishy and their not as fresh as they have been over the past three years, then something's not right. So with that said and what you said about him going to the 83, which I do think you're spot on, something is wrong in the BRM camp. So by him making the move to Roth, revolving seat or not, it's the right move for him and his career. If that's the ride he chooses, then it was the best ride on the table that he had to choose from. What's the guy supposed to do ? Racing is how he provides for his family.
I said in another thread that if he does half as good with Roth as he did at BRM, then Roth will be happy. Don't think for a second that if he didn't do what he did the first year with the Baughmans, they would have cut his ass so fast it would make the Roth 83 look like a retirement home.

Honesty I think your wrong. I don't think the Baughman's have ever talked about moving on or would. They were in it for the long haul and look at the level they have taken him too. You would think he would be grateful and stick it out and give them what they all want. But hey I get it. Big shiny squirrel over here, let's go it bc it's new and shiny. Roth won't stand for anything less than what Pittman was giving him and surprised he hung out that long with him. So it's a pretty tall order to fill but good luck to him and I hope he does well.

Word on the street is that Baughuman is shutting the 87 team down and he will not race the 17 either next year. I am not guaranteeing this, but am confident in what I heard and who I heard it from. I'd say we will know in the next few days/weeks. But if I am correct, I can see why Aaron made the move. Time will tell.

I thought the R in BRM was for Reutzel, as a part owner. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

As much I respect Dennis and Teresa Roth and thank them for fielding a car, I would not leave the 87 for the 83. But that's just me. And I can't even fit in a sprint car so....
And I say this assuming the 87 isn't closing up shop. Anyone without a ride, would be outside of their mind to turn down a WoO season in the Roth car.

It's about time he moved on to the Outlaws. Way too good for the All Stars.

JJR.
The 'Crazy Season' thread has a lot of rumors that look like they are turning out to be true.

I totally get what you're sayin, but, from what I'm hearing from a very reliable source, theres some issues with sponsor contributions, it happens all the time. So it's not like anything has turned to hate or there's a bunch of shit talking going on. The team has some good chemistry, but what good is that chemistry if you don't have the cash to run the road. So it makes sense and it's probably true for Reutzel to make a move.
As for the Baughmans taking Reutzel to another level, I have to disagree, it's the other way around. Look at the level he took the Baughmans too. Its not like the Baughmans developed his driving skills. Reutzel was going 410 racing regardless, it was just a matter of time. The Baughmans along with the other sponsors and with Reutzel's talent made that team successful as a whole.
My opinion, it was the two car team they ran on the cusps of a world wide shutdown that attributed to the end of BRM, financially that is.

It doesn't surprise me for Aaron wanting to jump to the Outlaws, even though in the past he has said he wanted to wait for his son to get older and such. But as life changes so do decisions as I myself had said I would not do somethings but then as life goes on changed my mind and went ahead and done them.
Leaving the 87 is a bit of a surprise but my personal opinion is that the thing that made the 87 go was Aaron. He is a good wheelman but can be hard on equipment. I don't think going to the 83 is necessarily a step down as much as it is less chemistry at the start depending on who is wrenching on the thing. Now I have also used the joke of whoever is in the 83 has six months or less but in this case, if they kept Pittman going for as long as they did with his results then they should at least give Reutzel a full season. But then again, this is the same team that won how many races with Gravel in 14' including the National Open, then made the wise decision to release him after what, 2months in 15. That one will still kind of go down as one of the biggest what the hell were thinking decisions

I have no idea why he's leaving the 87, since they've been so dominant with the Allstars
Simple answer seems to me that there's more $$$ with WoO
Should be interesting......

Appears to me that he's been the big fish in a little pond for a couple years and now wants to go to the big leagues. Wouldn't you do the same if you were in his shoes?

That sucks. The all-stars lose a great car and driver. I can't blame him though. Everybody wants to be an "outlaw" these days. Personally, I'd take an all-star show any day of the week. Hopefully Tony starts doing more to promote his series. The last few years have been great but they are losing cars and drivers that are not being replaced. The day the outlaws have a monolpoly on winged 410 sprint car racing is the day I lose what interest I have left in the sport.
