Posse cars took only 8 of 30 possible top 10s this weekend. I remember times when they'd take 8 top 10s in one race. And that's being generous by including Marks and Zearfoss who have run a lot out west this year.

Everyone complains that Pa. drivers and cars don't leave the porch then when theydo everyone says they are not Pa. cars anymore. I count six Pa. cars and drivers in the top ten ten last night alone. I acually think between 360's and 410's Pa cars have done ok off the porch this year in a limited season. With what Larson has done to everybody this year no one else is really dominant anywhere. With the limited schedule and the resulting mixed fields there has been some pretty good racing most everywhere since the restart of the season.

Counting shark racing as Posse is silly, we're not keeping track of states, it's Posse vs Outlaws. When the Posse gets whooped, the rules change.
Where's Cubes, he's usually the voice of reason around here....

All kidding aside, my son and I were talking last night about how the excitement of WoO vs Posse has lost a lot of it’s luster over the past couple of years at least for us. In the past, didn’t know for sure who would pull into victory lane. Pretty much a guarantee it will be WoO or an invader now days.
Some of the lack of top ten finishes by locals this weekend was self inflicted (DD taking out Freddie and Zearfoss while fighting for top five, then DD taking himself out). Macri loosing it at the Grove while running 5th.
Some bad luck, Lance loosing a wheel cover and wheel packed with mud. DD blowing an engine while in top ten. But that’s racing and you have to accept that.
What’s more concerning to me is just the overall drop in performance of the posse teams especially over the last two years. Certainly loosing Greg was a big part of it. But teams that historically were contenders are pretty much no shows of late. The Hefner 72 and Trone 39 are no longer factors. (Certainly no disrespect to Ryan because I think he’s a very capable driver). Lucas just can’t seem to get the 24 moving forward and the Zemco car is for lack of another term, a ”one track wonder”.
DD and the 3z run hot and cold, a lot of cold lately. Quite frankly, I think they’ve been better on the road than at home. Brian Monteith is also cold this year. Some of the finishes have been due to mechanical failure, but the Edge just doesn’t seem to have it this year. Again, not trying to demean anyone, just offering my opinion based on observations this year.
On a bright note, looks like Macri is gonna be a good one. Hope he hangs around.

Sorry, since there's no official definition in the Oxford English Dictionary, in MY book they're still Posse (maybe "Posse Alumni"?) Pa. roots all the way. Like somebody else said, if they "leave the porch" some people coinsider them "non Posse", then they bitch that Posse never leaves the porch....moving the goalposts
But my overall assessment of this past weekend at WG is "QUIT PICKIN' ON US!!!"

It's all in good fun.
If shark racing, Marks and Zearfoss had all stayed like rahmer, Lance and Greg (after his last WoO try) did, the Posse would be stronger than ever. As it is, the tomuring series poached some of the young guns and will likely take Macri soon.

Good points. About Macri----I only saw him run a couple of times in person and was not impressed. Having watched him the last few weeks, and following his results, he is definitely one of the good ones. You are likely correct---he will be moving onto bigger and better.

I hope they don't take Macri for another year or two. I know it is hard for a young guy to resist the chance when it is offered and they might not get another chance. It is a pretty unforgiving world out there. If you don't take it when offered it might not be offered again. Some body else might get hot and get the offer. If you go before you are ready some will never forget it and you might not get another offer.

Hodnett tragedy was a huge loss
Retirement of Fast Freddy, Sr. & Shark team going to that strange netherworld of "Outlaw/former Posse" also throw the balance to WoO

Everyone takes their lumps the first time they race with the woo outside of their home tracks. I too was thinking of him as a hometown hero but he's been so good at Port and the Grove and like all the good ones, he took the beating and improved almost immediately.

Front row hoes lived up to their moniker yet again because cushion was half way down the race track. Normal track conditions and Dewease would have taken home the $20k Sat night. Dewease should have spun Gravel out, like Gravel did little Stevie for the National Open. Jonestown Posse KOA campground that sponsors Stewart and Gravel had a good weekend however. 7 degrees of Posse relativity is still alive and well,as it is with Team Scruffy.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car

With that logic, Reutzel is a Knoxville driver.
